Earlier in the movie when all the bots are first introduced to sam He get's his throat shot by Ratchet and coughs. He just doesn't speak until after the last battle.

Yeah but when he gets his throat shot Ratchet goes something like "and im still working on it" meaning he cant fix his throat yet...=/

Well...as the Cube rebuilt/healed Frenzy...I've always thought that the Cube repaired BB's Voice. You know when he activated the Cube's "Mass Shifting" Transformation.

Another thing about Bumblebee's ball gag. Why does every other Transformer in the movie need to have a mouth with moving parts, but not Bumblebee?

EXACTLY! :thumb

I seem to recall one of the so called writers stating that the shot Ratchet gave Bumblebee was meant to enhance his self repair and that it was the catalyst that lead to him healing and being able to speak at the end.

It's actually not even a pothole, it's just not verbally explained.

They should have left him mute. The character is more interesting with just his noises and facial expressions.

Yeah i agree with that, seeing as now he can talk his gonna be talking in ROTF which is probaly gonna be weird, i prefer him not talkingg, as also seeing as he doesnt have a "mouth".

Bumblebee's a sadomasochist.
