Alternators Command Ravage

Recommended Posts

Nah, I'm the "good kid" in the house, my brother is a 40 year old guy, currently in state-appointed drug rehab...He hasn't worked in 15 years and I have a good job....As for being a social outcast, not really. I never was "pushed from the group" as I never wanted to be part of the group...I didn't like they way they act, treated people, or treated eachother....I never cared for fancy shoes or expensive clothes, or in HS, fast cars or class fame. I was there to learn and the few friends I cared to have, I kept close...that's about it. I'm not so much a know-it-all, as a done-it-all...I just want to see something new. Really tired of our president, our society, the south, and poeple whining about the name of a toy...Seriously guys...

And for the sake of topic discussion, I feel that the "Battle Ravage" name is gonna act as a doorway for Hasbro to introduce non-G1 characters into the Alternators line, and I can't wait.

Seriously understood and agreed with (all of what you said there), but the fact is you still do it in a way that's meant to aggravate. You talk about other people's negativity, but in most threads you're in, it's you who introduce it.

Again, lighten up, because, as you say, it IS just a toy (even if it is a lousy one).

Well, as long as we have a humanoid Ravage, I would love to see some Beast Wars characters get the Alternator treatment. If Hasbro can get ahold of the VW liscense, I'd like to see Rattrap as a Jetta (and Bumblebee as a new Beetle, natch). Rhinox would be great as an H2, or possibly a remold/repaint of Grimlock. I need time to think on Cheetor and Silverbolt, though. So many possibilities!

Do you think Hasbro will put their own spin on this line and mold their own character heads and make their own color schemes? Right now were just getting what ever Takara is giving and what they are giving us is an alternate reality updated G1 characters. On another note, I almost, almost feel like Hasbro is giving us a boot leg copy of the Takara toys. I mean Takara goes out of their way with the packaging and inserts. While Hasbro is giving us a box with no real details or story. It's not to important but it feels funny that this is the first Transformers toy line where it's like, "Here you go! It's a car. It turns into this mistransformed robot (referring to Meister's box pic). Now take it, or leave. What?! You costumers are so greedy!"

Backstory, shall we?

BW Megatron steals the golden disks in another time. STILL bent on making sure the Decepticons win the war of 2005. With his time travel attack in the year 2004, he sets up several world economical buildings to crash down, like a well planned terrorist. The autobots hit several of the locations in the different countries to stop it from happening. The buildings explode, but take out ALOT of the autobots involved...many of them die, or are near dead. Turns out the buildings were rigged with a technological virus, similar to cosmic rust, that causes their bodies to reject their sparks...Most of the buildings are saved, but the ones that were not claim the Autobots Sideswipe, Smokescreen, Sunstreaker, Trailbreaker, Silverstreak, Hound, Tracks, and Grimlock...As the world watches them fall as heros, many nations step forward and offer to repair the soldiers, to resume their battle to protect earth.

In the meantime, Megatron has done the same to G1 Megatron...hitting him with the virus that causes his body to reject his spark. Absorbing his spark into his Transmetal body, G1 Megatron's body is averted into gun mode, which Beast Megatron uses as a trophy and keeps around...His next goal is to take the matrix and go straight to Unicron, harness his power, and use him to help the Decepticon win the war...

In the meantime, the Beast Warriors arrive into the past...time has changed. Instead of landing in prehistory earth and witnessing the Beast Wars, they instead land in 2003 and join the autobots and decepticon forces, making the war of 2005 too large for earth to contain and possibly the biggest threat of all time...

Hasbro is purposely leaving the storyline vague to respect fans of all generations...They understand that fans devote themselves to all aspects, and they want to appeal to everyone, G1 fans and all

I like your story BC. I know Hasbro wouldn't want to touch the word terrorist though. At least not right now. It they made a TV show they probably could get away with it but probably not on the side of their toy boxes.

Hmm.... I certainly like the idea of the Beast Warriors fighting alongside the Autobots in the past. Maybe we could have it take place after Beast Machines, so there's only one Optimus....

Perhaps some rogue Vehicon we didn't know of took BM Megatron's virus back to 2004, and loosed it on the Autobots...

I would love to see Mainframe do a tie-in show like this, but I fear now they're too much aligned with Mattel for such a thing.

There was another thread where someone drew up what itmight look like and then painted it in. Maybe he should go work at Hasbro/Takara.

That is the idea, or at least one of them I'm forming right now. I have meny ideas in the works for the BT/ALT line, the main ones are for Trailbreaker/ Hoist and Ironhide/ Ratchet concepts. I plan on posting them when they're finnnished. Since Hasbo doesn't take unsoliseted ideas, and toy broackers only deal in "new" ideas (not line extensions), I'm hoping ya'll will like them and maybe even bug Hasbro enough that they soliset some of them.

AH ... if wishes were fishes...
