There he goes again. Complete and total hypocrisy at it's finest.....

 

As of now, I think the toy is a total waste and shows a complete lack of Hasbro even trying to change the mold. Smokes/Silverscreen, Hound/Swindle, and Sides/Dead End. I can live with. I think they look fantastic. They changed the paint jobs and adding and removed some things. With this abomination, all they did was paint it black and add a cat head to it. A CAT HEAD!! They gave it Dead End's paint job and added a cat head to it. Hell, they could have just used Dead End for it. I mean, he wasSUPPOSED to be Sunstreaker anyway.... :tftongue

 

I think if they did some more work on it like added claws (no tail) and maybe made it a little more animal like, it would be a great repaint. There was another thread where someone drew up what itmight look like and then painted it in. Maybe he should go work at Hasbro/Takara.

the auction states that they changed the rims, and made it a convertible as well, but I agree claws would be the bomb, at least where the wrist blasters are

Just a thought, but who says a robot must have a human-like head? A jaguar's head is the head of a predator and hunter. Maybe Ravage has that function and his head is cat-like to maximize his effectiveness as a predator of autobots. The look is growing on me.

You're right, it doesn't need to have a human like head. It is, after all a car that turns into a robot. Like I said before, my opinion is, it looks totally out of place. If the were to give him claws and maybe some other animal like features, then fine. The whole reason G1 Ravage had a cat head before, was because the rest of his body was a a Jaguar/Panther, whatever. It made sense there. This, to me, just looks completely out of place. I'd be fine if they made the head more humanoid and cat like. I know this isn't G1, but it sure is based on it. Why else would they call him Ravage and then put a cat head on it?? FIne, they don't need to make it G1, but then don't go sticking a total cat head on a figure and calling it Ravage.
