Help with a few Classic customs

Recommended Posts

Has anyone done a Classics take on Trailbreaker and Hoist? I've not seen those two yet, but I am sure someone has considered it.

There is a set of reprolabels for movie Ironhide to make him look like Trailbreaker. As for Hoist I have a figure of movie Longarm that I plan on repainting into Hoist. I'm thinking of getting a second Inferno to make into Grapple.

Yeah, I saw that reprolabel Trailbreaker set. Pretty nice. I may pick up one of the blue offroad Trailbreakers for cheap and just paint him black then use those.

Got another question for you concerning Jazz. When you did yours I think that you said you used Krylon Fusion but Im not sure. Thats what I was planning on using myself, but I am not certain about whether to use Matte or Glossy white since I plan on sealing the figure with glossy and wasn't sure if glossy on glossy would produce unwanted results.

I didn't coat mine since the Krylon fusion does seal itself. It has the base, main, and clear coat all in one can. That is why it works on plastic.

Ah. I guess that means that you dont really want to paint on top of a Fusion paintjob then? Sorry, I am a total noob when it comes to painting ;p

Im gonna have to do alot more research before diving into all this. Sunstreaker is just going to have to deal with being disassembled for a few more days. He's getting tired of humans taking him apart I bet!

I tried using clear coat to seal the paint on my Redalert and he turned pink. So I had to paint him white again.
