KB Toys To Close Stores in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

Recommended Posts

Most of there stuff was overpriced. But you could find unique stuff there sometimes. I had an outlet store not to far from me, but I hardly ever went there. And when I did I rarely bought anything. No loss here.

Indeed, time for a little Haiku:

KB your aisles not loved

Below MSRP was not your friend

Can't pay your bills

When you have so little stores as it is, this kinda sucks. But its expected, they have been shutting down for years all around me. The only Kbay store in my area left is in Rutland, i do end up getting stuff there that doesnt come elsewhere. Imo, it will be missed.

Its Walmarts fault. They took ALL their business.

Dude, everytime I walked into one of those 'things', it looked like my son & his little friends had ransacked the place...oh wait, that's what was happening! And KB never bothered to clean up...just left s%*t all over the floor...that's no way to run any kind of store!

High prices and old inventory, what do you expect.

The old inventory was alright when they use to keep it discounted, but then the price gouging...

I did get the Movie Chess Set for $7, but that was the only deal I got off them in a long time.

They would have done better if their prices weren't ridiculous. I mean, they aren't Kohl's ridiculous but still.

jesus. yea its walmarts fault that kb toys overpriced for crap toys. so people quit going there by their own choice. so its peoples fault for wanting a better deal.

no. its kb's fault full stop

Yea it isn't Walmart's fault at all. When Walmart came out they had low prices but that didn't hurt TRU sales because their prices were closer to MSRP than KB's.

isn't this like the 3rd time Kaybee has filed for chapter 11?

That's true, the last time they did I remember buying a bunch of toys at insanely low prices.
