First Look at Superion in TF2 Movie Packaging

Recommended Posts

I looked at the pictures. I find Energon Superion to be cheap and hideous. Even something that might be considered lowly like the Micro Superion looks better.

To each his own. I'm with Blot, the two Universe releases look equally good in different ways. The Ultra has the classic G1 look, and the Energon repaint has the "modernized" feel that some of the Classics/Universe figures have.

What bugs me is the lack of creativity on Hasbro's part. While it may good for some people who didn't buy these during Energon, or those who just like the set and want another, it's still pretty lousy. If I were planning this, and the Bruticus set, I'd replace on jet with the Decepticon helicopter. I would also take one of the jets and add it to the Bruticus set as Blast Off.

I think the whole "combining" theme is kind of ghey anyway. Once Animated Swindle comes out I'll have a complete Classics/Universe Combaticon team that doesn't combine. And I guarantee you I'll get more enjoyment out of them then I would out of either the Energon or Universe combiner versions.

I just don't see any problems with the Universe Silverbolt repaint of Energon Storm Jet. The toy itself looks like a neat jet former.

Universe Ultra Onslaught, Animated Swindle, Armada Cyclonus as Vortex, Classics VS Pack Megs with a new head as Brawl, and the biggest stretch, Cybertron Skywarp as Blast Off (he's purple and he flies. It works :P).

Whatever works for you my friend. :)

Wouldn't work for me, but I said the same thing about Animated Swindle at one point though.

The TFCC is making much better use of the Energon combiners than Hasbro.

They are? Any details on what you mean? I have seen a few limbs but cant see how they are more impressive then something you can see. Im not saying your wrong (or right), just curious as to why, and if you have any way to show your theory. (mainly b/c i want the BEST one poss.)

*favorite combiner is Defensor*

:redface

*Favorite combiner is Predaking*

**Favorite in the average combiner size is Piranacon**

***ok ok, so my ABSOLUTELY favorite is Leo Kaiser. But he's SO much money to spend on again***

Comparrison pics. I leave you to make your own comments:

I vastly find the NEW Superion colors to be waaaaaay worse then the Energon colors. He actually looks good in the energon colors where i find this, boring. Un-inspired. :lame

Is the 1st pic on top left, is this the original Superion? or the box set? Or is the gold chrome one the original? I thought it was the chrome one but now im not sure.

Now how about a Bruticus line up? *pics* :P Im totally all over the Combaticons. :thumb

Can you flip Superion's ears back like you can with Bruticus maximus'?

Love the fallen's 4 evil eyes on top of the box :burns

The club's combiner set uses characters from Energon Bruticus and Superion to create a combiner that has no repeats when it comes to the limbs. While it's not totally relevant, the leader of the combiner team, which comes out next year, will have a newly sculpted head.

and 3 red 1 black hands/feet.... :danmit

:redface bastards.
