I Have to say As fire convoy that guy looks quite cool. Thunder Clash is very nice I like the thunderbolt effect

I'm truly shocked there aren't any MotorMasters, Nemesis Primes/Scourges, or Huffer Primes here yet.

I'd shoot myself before I'd do something as generic as a Nemesis Prime/RiD Scourge, tbh. Black repaints are the epitome of lack of imagination. And it just doesn't suit Motormaster.

 

 

 

I did consider Nkelsch' Ultra Huffer, but thought none of the modes really fits him: The different modes (including Prime mode) don't remind of Huffer much if at all. Alternatively, I had been thinking of doing a Micromaster Overload.

thing is Overload looks a hell of a lot like the powered convoy toy but with red legs

Aye, pretty much just a reversal of red and blue on Optimus. Thunderclash had more optional approaches. Could have done a Machine Wars Hyperdrive if one knew the colourscheme to that. :)

No detailing/shadows, and haven't started the robot mode yet.

Mmm not bad, but could use perhaps a few more things. Wouldn't do bad with a couple of paint aps. Perhaps purple stripes on the black cab. A Decepticon Logo here or there. Something to make it more than a black repaint.

I did think of adding the Decepticon logo, I just don't have a decent source image and I could not find one on google I liked. As for the lack of detailing, that was just sleepiness kicking in and not putting much effort into it. I plan on doing some extra work on it and maybe doing the robot mode.
