MP-05 Megatron

Has anyone attempted any fixes with his ankle joints? (more to the point, is anyone else having this issue?) I'm dead tired of him not being able to stand other than at "ATEN-Shun!!".

I may just have throw him to the wolves of ebay if I can't come up with a solution. Help?! :brickwall

I don't think I've seen the upgrade kit unless you mean the silencer/cannon tri-pod one. As for the varnish/glue technique, I managed to get one foot off, but the feet have 5 tiny screws in them and two hinge joints and the upper and lower sections are either glued together or held by those two hinge joints(after you remove the screws). It was really hard getting the foot back on w/o any glue, I might try again though.

that's the one (with the scope/silencer/etc) i believe that has weights for the feet in it

Ah, was not aware of that, thanks for the heads up. My x-mas present is now decided

you could change the title of the thread for opinions on the upgrade set :P (i haven't got it so i can't comment on it unfortunately)

Good point. Done and done.

I'm getting my MP-05 tomorrow. So, lemme look at him, and I'll get back to you.

I have the upgrade kit and it is amazing quality product. It does add weight, because you completely replace the outer leg bits with new diecast ones that allow the stock to attach. Because those hang off to the side, it doesn't neccessarily add much in the way of stability, but the weight and feel added to the gun mode is great.

The plastic used is top notch and the fact that it shoots pellets is a great bonus. My only real problem is that the silencer doesn't stay on very well. This is due to the design of Megs himself though. If you already spent 100 on your Megs, the set is defnintely worth an extra 40 to make it damn near perfect.
