I think of all the Universe/classics so far this is the one that most screams G1... unfortunately the complete sentence is "I have Optimus Prime's G1 chest!"

You mean G1 Inferno's chest.

I kind of think this is what an updated Energon Optimus Prime would look like :run

Looks much, MUCH better than the last time I saw him. I love how those parts split and hang down over his shoulders! And the arm cannon is :awsum

 

Good head sculpt, too. I still wish he had wings and a gun hand, but all in all it's a great G1 update.

i will always remeber Inferno as the 2nd rate character who sacrificed himself to save the life of another 2nd rate character.

 

 

strangely enough both of these guys are being issued in Classics.

I had an Inferno growing up.

 

The lack of head fins don't upset me.

 

But then, Hasbro could have released Inferno without HANDS and I would have thought of it as G1 accurate.
