All Transformers, all the time -- from Generation 1 to "Animated", Michael Bay's Transformers franchise, and beyond.

I am sure this will either piss you off, or make you laugh, or just right something stupid on here. regardless, i have been reading alot of posts recently, and i am astounded by the lack of progression in some people. this is a bit of griping about some of the stuff i have seen G1 Fetishist: definition: a person, who regardless of time lapsing prefers to live in the time of the 80's where transforming robots didnt make noise when they ran on concrete, tractor-trailers could disappear and reappear at a moments notice, and every color scheme for a car was permanently set in stone. symptoms: do have an itchy burning feeling in the back of your head when they …

  2. Started by Hot Rod,

So my wife and i are in target yesterday on "the hunt". I'm looking high and low but nothing new is out. Then, around the corner comes a guy, presumably my age, with a TF in his hand.... He's coming back to the isle so immediatly i know he's a collector. Always ready to talk to another collector i say, "Hey are you a collector or is that for someone else?" To which he responds in an almost whisper with his eyes turned directly to the floor, "I'm sort of a collector." This is an adult mind you and he is turning red from being ousted.... So i merely end the conversation by asking if he has seen the Grimlock Swoop two pack and he says no.... Now i've never…

Are you the kind of person who takes it too seriously or do you collect to have fun? Are you serious or obsessive? Is it endearing to others or do you scare your family into uncomfortable silence. Do you talk about Transformers as seriously as you talk about politics or do you say "Jeeze! They're just cool toys for goodness sake!" Are you an investor or a playful fanatic? In other words, where are your priorities? I think mine are teetering on the edge of "crazy man syndrome" or CMS.

Since people were shouting about, I figured we need a topic to let it all out. Is your collection buzz starting to fade OR are you just getting started? What's got you down? How are you keeping it fresh? Is it just the toys or everything Transformers? Share your thoughts for the beloved Transformers toys here.

  5. :tfgrin With the movies, the comics, the figures and and everything else... collecting transformers is becoming a major hobby for both serious and fun collector alike! I’m involved with a fun new website called Kollecta.com, and we are currently seeking new members. The site is a growing social network of and for collectors - connecting collectors and their collections worldwide. Kollecta has a great little transformers group, and with more people involved, it can only grow! The group has 2351 transformers items on its database including comics, action figures and toys. Do you have something kollecta doesn’t have listed? I invite you to join the site…

If this starts a flame war or people wanna cuss me out. Fine. I gotta get it off my chest. Why is the fandom a broken record? Every image, rumor, snippet of info is judged before reading. I'm talking about the recent Transtech study boards and the countless test shots for upcoming toys. I can understand comments like: I prefer articulation and it looks like Alt Prime has no knees. He's kinda bricky. Then we get: Why?! Why isn't he Ironhide!! It's right there in the news story. And if it isn't someone probably explained it earlier in the thread. Don't skim. Of course test shot sellers and even Hasbro themselves make the problem bigger by not showing off…

  7. I had pre-ordered 1 @ amazon.com for $79.88 with free shipping, I'm still debating if I should cancel my order or keep it. Any advise...whats the positive and negative on owning one of these?

  8. Are you still going to collect transformers when you are much older? I've been pondering this question myself. The reason being is that I realize that they are never going to stop making them. I've back into it since RID, Armada, Energon, and now I have to get Galaxy force. Is there an age limit when it comes to collecting transformers? I guess it is fine when you are like 20's to even 30's but can you imagine someone in their 40's or 50's collecting them? I can't. You will have kids, an adult life, wife/husband, etc. Imagine an old dude sitting home with thousands of transformers around him. Its cool that they keep on coming out with transformers making me dr…

My goodness... Have you guys noticed that the figures are practically flying from the shelves? One of the biggest TRUs over here only has scorpinok, swindle and wreckage left... what do you guys think? Is it the same for you all as well? I can't get voyager ironhide or delux jazz... :tfmad

Dear God, it's rant time I'm afraid... June 2nd, England, Wolverhampton city centre - after cleaning up with a GW Stormtrooper Sergeant at the local modelling club's monthly painting competition, I head into town to hunt for Movie figures with my last £15 burning an Autobot symbol-shaped hole in my already ragged jean pocket. First I hit Argos [i don't know if the American forum users know what an 'Argos' is, so I'll elucidate further: 'Argos', named for some inexplicable reason after the Greek mythical figure, errm, Argos the ship-builder, is a nationwide chain of stores where all the products have to be ordered from a catalogue colloquially known as 'The Laminat…
