My brother was reading the paper literally five minutes ago and came to me and handed me an article titled "Toys transformed a generation of boys". The top of the article has a photo of Ben Yee with G1 Fort Max, and Leader Class Prime and Megatron in his arms, in front of his massive 3,000+ piece TF collection. Anyways, there's a comment in there by Brian Savage (most of us know who he is, but for those who don't, he's the one that kind of runs the Transformers Collectors Club), that after July 4, there'll be a whole lot more Transformers fans. Which got me thinking. How many people are going to sign up to be board members at the various message boards on …

Fear super megatron!... Or not. But when I see something like that, I'm always a little frightened that there are people to do that sort of things.

First, I'll recap from the other thread: I also just picked up Bonecrusher (and left a Swindle sitting on the peg at Target). He's so awesome! They're stretching a bit calling his automorph gimmick any kind of "automorph" at all, since it seems directly related to the vehicle's giant arm being able to grab your Autobots in a scissor like fashion, which is a much better gimmick than transformation, IMO. But the giant vehicle arm is more articulated than a lot of Transformer's robot mode arms, which rules mightily. But he's so much fun in robot mode, I haven't even bothered transforming him back, yet. First off, those who said his design wouldn't work…

Hey, I remember when I started getting back into collecting, there was a ton I wanted(which hasn't changed), but the options were either first release retail, rip off collector shops, or a bin of broken toys at a flea market(actualy did real good at one once). Well, alot has changed since I started, I got alot of figures, and theres alot more ways to get them. Thank you internet! It does have a tendancy of dropping everything neatly in ones lap. Still every now and then the hunter in me starts to itch, and I slowly piece together a figure just for the hell of it. Examples are... Omega Supreme, I payed $395 for my first one w/ a ripped box. It's still a gem in …

My parents have forbidden me from buying any TFs until Chanukah is over with the following exceptions: 1: It's kind of important and I've made sure they didn't get it for me already. 2: It's with my own money. Any of you other guys have relatives that have asked you to stop purchasing TFs until the holidays are over? It's kind of depressing.

Esquire recently published an article chronicling the toys that dazzled holiday shoppers over the years. The timelines ranges from "Rock Me Elmo" on this year's list, to the Duncan YoYo of 1929, and even 1984 when Generation 1 was released. Beware, there's not much actual talk of G1 in the blurb. Check out the article here
