Usually, BotCon is a major event. However, this year it seemed to be tepid at best. The major announcements concerning Generations and Prime figures that was anticipated seemed to fall flat. There really didn't seem to be any major news generated this year. I'd be interested to hear from some folks that went to the show to see if there's a different take from the one I have.

Botcon is officially under way. Who's coming to town? I just left Dallas this morning for work, but i'll be back in town at 1pm on Saturday.

Anyone get theirs yet?

Just wondering if there is enough interest in seeing The Gobots brought into the classics universe for a Botcon set, if so I'll start a petition for next year, I for one would love to see Generations Wreck-Gar retooled into Cy-kill, and HFTD Tomahawk retooled into Ro-Tor.

So, I just spent the last hour trying to find a writeup or summary of the Orci and Kurtzman panel from Botcon, and I'm just wondering if it was covered at all. This may not even be the right place for this question, but really, what the hell? I've checked tfw2005, seibertron, and TFormers, and nothing beyond a slight mention in a news post about the Hasbro/Paramount Partnership Panel, but still no info on the writers panel. I'm just curious about what was said there. Anyway, any help is appreciated.

So i plan on going to Botcon this year. I live in the Dallas area and it would be stupid for me not to go. Unfortunately, my job takes me out of town every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I'm planning on skipping the last day of work that week and flying back home that Saturday morning. The question is, if i went with the Primus set and i don't check in until Saturday afternoon, am i guaranteed the set of toys? Or do they run out?
