i'm gonna be making a custom alternators bumblebee. now this may be a stupid question but should i use a normal car as the alt mode or stay with the original mini coupe any advice is appreciated

Here's a fun little minibot repaint I whipped up for Legacy...Glyph! :nuts The head on Snapper worked out really well for Glyph. I could have put the horns on her head, but I figured it would have been more trouble then it was worth. I debated with myself as to wether to try and give the illusion of windows as shell markings, and I finally said "What the hell!" and went with it. Okay, I saw on Ebay the auction for a prototype TFU Jetfire Armada repaint as a decepticon, and thought it was a great idea. However, I'd like to do mine as an Astrotrain G1 theme. Now.......Dilemma! Which part of Astrotrain would YOU keep loyal to? Due to transforming differences, obviously it can't be 100% accurate to both the shuttle and bot mode. Would you:........ A - Go for the shuttle theme - basically, purple wings, purple + black on the sides, and purple + a touch of black on the nosecone/cockpit area B - Go for the robot theme - basically, body is white and only the wings/sides are purple and black. Personally, I think I'll go for option…
