  1. Started by bluestreak1701,

Hi Gang, A while ago I posted some ideas for some custom alternators I had planned. Having been once more reunited with my G1 collection after a trip home I have come up with a few more ideas for custom alts that I thought I would share. It might seemexcesive but I'm really keen to start customising more figures and as there's so much potential for the alternators line, together with the fact that they are few and far between, I thought it'd be fun to do and share. Here's the breakdown of hopefully what my collection of alts will look like in 6 months time: Currently: Smokescreen Sideswipe Bluestreak Hound Jazz Dead end Overdrive (red meister) Backstreet (…

  2. Depicted here in black are the missiles that will be available for the Comic Ink/iGear exclusive Masterpiece G2 Ramjet. A color matched version for the actual product is forthcoming. Please note: This is not the final design for the exclusive. The final version (which is on its way from Shapeways.com will be approximately 10% shorter and sit slightly higher on his upper arm. Thanks for looking!

  4. Started by D-Unit,

After I posted the shots last week, I wanted to do more with the legs, and although I liked the arms at first, the more I looked at it, I thought I could do better. So I found my next victim, DVD2-pack Optimus. I figured I didn't need this figure, but he had a lot of parts I could use. So I swapped out Ironhide's arms and legs for Optimus and I'ma lot happier. The arms are longer and have more articulation, as do the legs. It makes him a little shorter, but I like the overall result a lot better. He's not as short and squat as he looks, I jus took the pic froma wierd angle and am too lazy to go back and fix it.See for yourself: and the previous version: Now I …

Ok. After subjecting you all to the torture of my 1.1 Megapixel camera's horrible close-up abilities, I finally borrowed mom's camera and took some spiffy new CLEAR pics! First up, Alt Jazz: (ok.. so a couple of these were a little blurry. I was still learning the ins and outs of the camera. :))

  6. Started by BatVomit,

My Alternators Bluestreak (Diaclone colors) is almost finished. I just need to do some touch ups, repair a few small mistakes, add some detailing and Autobot symbols and he'll be ready to roll! For Bluestreak I used an Alternators Ricochet and I swapped out the front of the car/chest with an Alternators Smokescreen. Trailbreaker is coming along. I've successfully swapped out the windshield/roof with an Optimus Prime. I've also cut out part of the front legs to expose the knee joints and give an appearance of longer thighs. I've done most of the painting. I just need to touch up and repaint some areas before reassembling the body. After that all that's left will …

  7. Started by SureShot,

here are the latest pics of this guy... painted wheels and cool decals now. i have this listed in the end cap. lemme know if you're interested. OLD MESSAGE -- I got a repainted alt deadend via a trade and it is absolutely wrecked... the only thing that's worth anything of salvaging is the head. BUT, is there a chamical that I can soak the parts in and take the paint completely off without warping the plastic? I don't care about the finish of the plastic, just that is doesn't warp or soften. I thought about mineral spirits... but not sure. The paint is so thick that it won't completely transform either... i hope someone has done this/is a chemical expe…

  8. Started by Hot Rod,

pics coming soon, but here is what i did. I swapped the fins with HOt Shots, then i took the pipes from C-swerve (actually the original not the repaint i just couldn't think of his name :redface) clipped off the centemter or so, the one with the minicon like peg, and glued them onto the doors. I love it. The only thing i have left to do is attemp to paint :eek which scares me mightily. I'm currently hunting for 2 more AA batteries for the digicam then i 'll post some pictures :thumb
