Upgrades

I'd love to have some of the awesome kitbashes and repaints I've seen on here, and could probably do some good ones of my own if I had the time to devote to learning the art, but I just don't. So, do any of you who have posted pics of your work do this for others as well? I'd like to have even the simple or obvious ones, like a Sunstreaker or a Prowl, but I'd also like some more exotic ideas to be fleshed out as well. I'm thinking Prowler Mirage, SSR Kup, etc... I've been seeing the trunk transformation around here for awhile, and that, my fellow Transfan Comrades, is what I have done. I didn't see how to do it, so I decided to post how I did it for those who would like to perform their own mod. 1. Take a hobby knife, and cut away the red plastic only as wide as the black piece it swings on. Shave this back until the trunk clicks solidly when positioned over the shoulders. You'd think that would be it, but mine has an added touch, just for that little extra quality. 2. Do NOT remove and switch the hands. Instead, unscrew the bicep pieces on each arm and switch them. IM startin on a new project... it would be a tf made from hotwheels and it would be a sort off MINIALTERNATOR.. the parts would also include a swindle minicon and a couple of gundam parts (joints).. BUT I NEED SOME HELP with cutting the hotwheels car apart.. My dremel died on me last month so my only cutting tool at the time is a jewllers saw.. Should i still try and finish this project or just scrap it? also i need a name for him.. :thumb
