  1. Started by LoneDrifter,

OK, so Brawn's G1 color scheme looks good in the Alternators bot mode, but could be better in the vehicle mode. What if the cab were enclosed and the gold "soft-top" became armor for the bot mode?

  2. This is my custom detailing of the DOTM Deluxe Crankcase figure. Basically, I did a heavy black wash on the robot parts, as well as some drybrushing with some gunmetal (being careful not to touch the alt mode components). Then I disassembled the alt mode roof and wet-sanded the paint off the windows and front light bar. I smoked the windows, headlights, and tail lights, and painted the front light bar blue (both light bar bases were painted gunmetal). The MechTech weapon was also detailed in the same manner.View the Custom Gallery Here

  3. Started by Jin Saotome,

Transformers Generations Voyager Blitzwing had a lot of quality control issues right out of the box, so many in fact that people started returning him. I set out to fix each issue and make him a decent figure starting with the shoulder assembly that falls apart when you move his arms. The mod is to unscrew all five screws in his back, open him up, and sand down the edges of his inner torso you see circled in red, about a quarter's thickness. Then sand down the peg posts the same width so the two halves snap back together with no gap. To fix the head not fitting in the nosecone take a large engraver (bladed ball) bit and Dremel out some of the soft rubber, th…

  4. Started by Zombie Rodimus,

***mods please move this if you feel it's in the wrong place, I didn't feel it was appropriate of the kitbashing forum as it's such a small modification*** I really like Classics Ultimate Battle Megatron, but it's always annoyed me that he only has one hand. Well, not anymore... I have a few other pics if anyone wants to see. I used a hand from a PVC Wing Gundam toy that was lying around, cut off the peg and shaved it down until it was smooth, then simply superglued it on to Megatron's 'gun-arm'. The lame action feature no longer works. Also, he could feasibly hold Wing Gundam's weapon now, but I'm a little reluctant to do so as that would require forcing…

  5. Started by pdemaio,

I see some simply amazing work here. Any suggestions on what model makeing companies have the best quality plastic or are for other reasons the best to kitbash? Does anyone ever use diecast model cars? What are the best places to look online? Thanks, P-

  6. As you can see from this pic of the soon-to-be released DOTM Voyager class Megatron action figure, the right side of his face is disfigured (thanks to Optimus Prime using Megatron's own cannon to blast that half of his face off in ROTF). I am hoping that someone out there can use their special talents to recast the head of DOTM Voyager class Megatron so that right side of his face is the same as his left side, enlarge it (if necesarry), and design it to be placed on ROTF Leader class Megatron!

  7. Started by Hip-Hoptimus Rime,

I've read about some folks who plan to add or already have added chrome foil to their Leader Prime, among others. What is this stuff, exactly, and can a schmo like me with no talent for model building use it? Where can I get it? Can you show me some pics of a before and after? Thanks! -Gus

  9. Started by Godbomber,

For you kbashers out there, what's the difference? I want to carve G1 style heads for Dead End & Swindle, but have only used wood & plaster in the past. I know that the War Within Kbash used one of these products, but I don't know what to get or where to get it. I found webpages that sold polystyrene sheets, but those are only a few millimeters thick. I'm looking for more of a brick sized amount.

  10. Started by WRX-78,

I want to remove Armada Wheeljack's head and replace with Energon Towline's. I don't own WJ. Does this swap look easy? Towline's head is 2 halves held on with a screw and has a socket at the bottom. Thanks for the help.
