Upgrades

I have decided to do a custom Hot Rod too, but using the Rede Mazda RX-8 for the mold. The changes I have done so far is that the upper legs are orange now, and I have left the lower legs black......The silver paint on the upper leg is now yellow and I am working on giving the windos a light blue tint to them and giving the headlights a yellowish tint. The head when I get to it will have the "horns" removed and sanded down, and also removing the blue visor.....I then will give the head a red/borderline magenta color for the helmet, and then for the final custom to it, I am air brushing on a 3 color flame design to the hood and to the doors of the car. I got tired of my "Meister without stickers" version of Downshift so I decided to try something more unique. I ordered some white KO Binaltech Sideswipes from Hong Kong, added an Autobot symbol and a face plate and now have a new Downshift. I prefer this one since it resembles his G1 self in bot mode a little more (windshield chest, doors on his arms).

I've been working on him for a few weeks off and on and finally finished him today. He is on Ebay so bid please. Got some better pics since the lighting made some of the originals look gold. I had a friend of mine doing this repaint custom for me. I took a Cybertron Defense Team Red Alert and had him converted into a Botcon 2006 Darksyde Megatron! He very closly resembles the real one I think. I am going to find some small black numbers/letters to cover up where I used a black magic marker to write his numbers. I did a poor job of writing them! I used a Beast Wars Transmetal head, not quite exact but close enough.

Does anyone know what type of cardstock size or wheight is used on the G1 boxes???
