Upgrades

it took me about 2 hours to take jazz apart and paint him then put him back together... the hard part was the box... took me about 6-7 hours just because I made a template to be able to do any decepticon in that style box. enjoy!

has anyone tried to custom a g1 box for their alt/bt's?? if so, i'd like to see pics. if not, i would be interested in helping (creatively) produce some. i think they would be a hit!!

Sunstreaker!! He's taller than his brother in Robot Mode, but smaller in Car Mode. Weird. The hardest part is going to be carving the "ears" into Cl. BB's head... :redface (*Classics Sideswipe was made by Sculpt-Bot over at the TFW2005 boards...)

so i'm not really liking how thin it makes the arms look AND i'm thinking about going back and painting the grey chest black.

I'm working on a Prowl repaint, my first repaint project... I have Silverstreak dissasembled, and have removed the Autobot logo from his shoulder with paint thinner and cotton squares (designed for makeup removal, I think... Eckerd cosmetics section. Like cotton balls, only in quilted squares... more durable). That came off fairly easily, but when I tried spraying the Fusion on the head, it got all bubbley and wouldn't stick. It was then that I noticed that the silver is actually paint, and not bare plastic like Sideswipe or Hound. Is this silver paint on the whole car going to have to be stripped off, or will the (gloss white) fusion paint stick to the silver? …

Well, I wasn't digging how my Barricade was looking, and I definitely did NOT like his gold mouth, so I went ahead and did a full robot mode repaint. Additionally, I painted in his rear windows with a darkened GW Tin Bitz to represent tinted windows (even though I believe they were clear in the movie), and hit the entire vehicle mode with a nice spray of Glosscote. Wheels and rims were also painted. In addition, I performed smuggles' knee mod, and I also carved out some of the cup in the back of his shoulder joints to give him a few extra degrees of movement there.
