I am going to Botcon this week and I've never been before. Does anyone have any suggestions for a first-timer? I would like to sell some TFs (bots and comic books) and would appreciate any suggestions. My girlfriend is also coming with me even though TF is not her thing and what is there for her to do there that is non-TF related (I give my girl kudos too-she took off of work to go to this with me! :thumb )? Thanks!

I've never been to a BotCon before and I was planning on checking it out this year in RI. Does anyone know if they usually have vendors there? If so, are they stores set up by Hasbro, or are they more third party type vendors. What are the chances that I would find MP-SS or MP-Megs for sale there? Any info provided would be most helpful. July is just around the corner and I need to know how much money I should be saving before then.

I saw some replies to some BotCon threads about people that have a spare bed and thought it would be smart to consolidate. In my case, I got a room at the Marriott and was all ready so the wife and I could go, but something came up and she has to work on the one night I had the hotel booked for. So that leaves either a queen size bed or a sofa bed for the night of the 29th. I'm out of $80 at this point, so here I am. I'm asking $60 for the other bed at the Marriott for the night of the 29th. PM me if interested.

Quite simply, who's going? I think its pretty cool that its gonna be at Disney, but costs are my biggest concern right now. I'd still love to go I just need to get finances figured out. Linky

I'm not really sure how everyone missed this. I couldn't find anything about it on any other big news websites, and it was posted on BotCon's website two days ago! The convention will be held at American Dream in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Anyways, here is the post with all the details and hotel registration links:

Greetings! New member on the board (occasional lurker). My 7 yo son has been collecting TF for the past 4 years (which has, I admit, provided me with a convenient excuse for me - like Alternators) I'm in Wisconsin (recently moved) and was thinking about making the trek with my son to BotCon. Since it's about an eight hour drive, I didn't know if it would be worth it. I've never been to a convention of this sort - is it something that a 7 yo would find interesting? I'm sure he would love the dealer room, but would that be it for him? Thanks for the feedback!
