one of the rare things I don't like in G1, the many repaints: Inferno/Grapple, Sideswipe/Red alert, the Decepticon jets, Prowl/Bluestreak/Smokescreen, Trailbreaker/Hoist, '84 minobots/'86 minibots, Ironhide/Ratchet... the lamest being Hubcap: a YELLOW Cliffjumper ?! How could he ever be a character of his own, the animators couldn't even draw him properly in Five faces of Darkness :lol when you're a kid it's exciting when you get a new toy, to play with it for the first time and discover what it can do, so as a kid... What is the deal with all the Binatech / Alternators repaints? I can understand a few one or two, but a purple RX-8 as Shockwave or a White '04 Mustang as Wheeljack come on! There are plenty of other cars out there...are you listening TAKARA or Hasbro? I mean what if the original G1 line was nothing but repaints? There would be a total of about 10 toys for both Autobots & Decepticons. Hey while your at it you might as well just repaint Starscream and call him Jetfire... LAME! They are RID Prowl, sideswipe and Xbraun I think (I don't collect RID and it's all in Japanese). They are actually pretty cool the clear really does a lot for the figures. Anyone know how many of these were made and how people got them?

Best damn $175 I've ever spent on a TF. Yeah, I could have gotten it cheaper, but I really am fiercely loyal to BBTS after the way they handled the misshipment of BT/Alt Grimlock. This is my first Japanese reissue, and it's gotten me seriously hooked. I love the G1 style packaging, and the exactness of the figures, and the fact that it would be ridiculously expensive to get a C-10 Metal Predaking. Nice sticker sheets, I love the character bio cards. Besides the figures themselves, the thing I love the most is the AWESOME checklist for Binaltechs (through Grimlock), MP Convoy and the Transformer Collection, through the Insecticons, and some other G1 reissues. I was looking for new Energon stuff when I happened upon the Alternators section. All of a sudden I caught something out of the corner of my eye. A blue chrome Silverstreak. I ran over and picked it up, and what did I find? Someone had opened the box and swapped Silverstreak with a blue diecast Subaru Impreza! I feel so sorry for the guy who buys that for his kid thinking it's a TF. The rest of you ever have any experiences like this?
