Personal Quotes
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.
This was the second Marvel Transformers comic that I got as a kid from the comic book rack in a Walden Books store (the first was #33). I was totally shocked at how different the comic was from the cartoon and I went on to collect the rest of the series.
Looks like I was lucky enough to grab the last one available. I'm hoping the cockpit will ultimately be colored the same gold as Acid Swarm to match. I highly suspected that Ion Storm (Swarm) would be the next release and I'm betting that Nova Storm (Swarm) will be the Chicago TFCon exclusive. Hopefully we'll get the Welcoming Committee next year:)
I think they're going for the rather unique Menasor transformation from "Starscream's Brigade" which featured Motormaster becoming Menasor's "skeleton" after jumping off a cliff followed by the other 4 Stunticons attaching to Motormaster's limbs while in vehicle mode - it was a pretty cool spectacle. The transformation was quickly followed by Menasor stomping Bruticus who in turn just got done mopping up Devastator.
Most 3rd Party Menasor/Stunticon releases have featured the same transformation gimmick which has been easy to pull off by using Motormaster's trailer to provide the additional mass.
I'm honestly torn on whether to get this or not. I never watched the Japanese series and I usually do not pursue Titan repaints (passed on Grand Max), but this guy looks really good.
G1 Sandstorm for sure. I'd also like to see the Omnibots, Energon Megatron, Nightbeat, and now that the Autobot Ark has opened the door, maybe more ship-formers like Nemesis, Victory, and Revenge.
