  1. Okay. Ratchet is Ratchet. Frenzy is Frenzy. Erial and Dion are Erial and Dion. Primal is Primal. Mirage is Mirage. Moving on to the new stuff that I haven't already commented on. Frenzy and Ratchet are new but what else am I supposed to say? Novakane is well, underwhelming. He has a battle damaged head but it otherwise looks exactly like Freezer. I thought he would at least be a different shade. It seems though that there's only supposed to be differences in the head between the two but they kept swapping the features in the movie. I don't know as I haven't seen the movie yet. It's weird though, I like to get three of figures I like to troopbuild but for some reason I stopped at two of Freezer. It seems I somehow knew there were actually two of them without having watched the movie. Now do I get two Novakane too or just leave it at the two Freezer. Nope, I'll probably get another Freezer and three Novakane lol. A new Exo suit mold is pretty cool. I'll get three just like I have from the SS86 Exo Suit. This jet mode reminds me of the little drone/gun thing that RotF Stratosphere was supposed to come with. But they don't actually look alike though. Nightbird looks just as weird as Mirage. They both look good but at the same time those backpacks are off putting maybe I think I'm not sure. What's with these Terrorcons and their weird skinny 00 Gundam looking legs? Put some of that bulk down there to offset the backpack on Nightbird. The Stunticon set is a bit annoying. I still haven't managed to get a Wildrider yet but I don't want to get the whole set just for him. This has a different deco though and that Motormaster looks really good so I'll probably end up getting the set too. Not like I didn't have both CW and UW Menasor. I have since sold CW Menasor last year but still, I had both for a long time. In fact the only ones I didn't have both versions of were Devastator and Ultra Prime/Convoy Grand Prime. I never found Convoy Grand Prime for a price I was willing to pay as I stupidly never got it when it came out. CW Devastator wasn't worth getting if you had the UW version which I do. SG Hot Rod looks good of course but I don't really care much for that mold. It's good don't get me wrong, I just don't really like it. I might have a better opinion of the mold if Rodimus didn't come out around the same time. SG Sideswipe looks good. Not amazing as it's still just the Siege Sideswipe mold but still good. The new weapons are cool as is the Minicon! Can't wait to get Armada Wheeljack now. I just wonder if they'll try to sell it as a voyager on his own. You'd think the Siege SS mold would be so cheap to use now that they can add a Minicon with it and still be deluxe priced. Just put it in a wave with a cheaper to make figure to offset the cost. And that brings us to Ultra Magnus. Wow. I'm not one of those people who care about scale. I couldn't care less if Magnus is supposed to be just a "head" taller than Optimus/Rodimus and be shorter than Grimlock. I never seen it that way as a kid and that view only got expanded the more I got figures that got huge when combined with their trailers starting with PMOP. So I always thought Magnus did the same thing and it overwrote my memories of the movie and season 3 and I watched that movie like everyday for years and still don't think he was barely taller than the two Primes. This is going to be the CW figure on steroids though. Which means expect a replacement for that cab that transforms at some point. Shame Perfect Effect isn't around as I don't trust DNA to do it. Overall though he's clean looking and loaded with articulation. He's going to look on display. The only thing is that I would liked to have seen a little something else with him. I just don't see this having quite as much going on as Motormaster/Menasor, Armada Optimus, Skylynx or even Rodimus. Hell, I think Jetfire might have more going on with his weapons and armor bits. So I would want that little plane thing that could be made from the G1 toy's chest and helmet. Or better yet, a little Powered Buggy in Magnus colors to go with him. Done as a Weaponizer though. Yeah neither thing happened in the movie or even the cartoon but I don't care. There are things that appear in SS figures that didn't actually happen so why not? It's just that this doesn't have the smaller robot and has a fairly simplistic transformation so there's quite a bit of room for something else. Maybe that little bit of room goes to a ton of panels in the transformation to make it look so clean but we don't know yet. Again, compared to the other commanders and what they do, this looks like there's not as much to it. Jetfire is the only comparable one in that regard. Jetfire is also very simple and doesn't have much going on. Sky Lynx is simple too but he's two rather large and dense/heavy figures. And has quite a bit going on with the six legs, three tails and two necks and heads. Rodimus' trailer has a surprising amount of stuff going on with it as well as he himself being loaded with little flaps and parts and hinges. Motormaster forms a whole ass combiner on his own with a bunch of flaps and springs for things and heavy ratchets and whatnot. Armada Optimus is so dense and doesn't have any hollow bits other than the toes while also having a few extras going on as well. Plus Motormaster and Optimus still have their standard smaller modes whereas Magnus doesn't.
  2. That Nova Prime sure looks good. Not as good as mine but still good. I was hoping for them to take out the cannons so that they could then do more with the wings making them bigger and have a few points of articulation though. Nice to see that Javelin is not using the Velocitron Blurr mold like people had speculated and is instead using the vastly superior and highly awesome SSBB Arcee mold. However Kaskade is using the horrible Chromia mold. That mold sucks and they should've just kept using the PotP Moonracer mold entirely if they were going to keep things that similar. Not only does the Moonracer mold work better than Chromia, it can be used as a combiner piece. Chromia kept all the bad parts of the mold and somehow managed to make them worse while retaining none of the good parts and actually ended up hindered as a result. It's amazing that the designers managed to accomplish that. All they reused are the wheels, the hip joints and like a hinge or something. Those pieces alone shouldn't have hindered Chromia to the point that it just ended up being a neutered Moonracer. TR Scourge, Highbrow and Windblade show how to reuse a handful of parts without being hindered by anything while making three figures that look nothing alike. Besides, it just looks like Moonracer. If I still had my three extra Moonracers I would just swap the heads but I can't as I only have one Moonracer now as I sold all the extras I kept for customs less than a year ago. People were speculating that she would be using the Shadowstriker mold due to their heads being pretty much identical except for the placement of the monocle. That would've been so much better and we don't even have that mold yet to even see if it's actually good or not. I guess it could be worse though, they could be using SS86 Arcee. Nacelle using the Siege Seeker mold is perfect as he's part of the "Welcoming Committee" along with Hotlink. It's just a shame that Fun Pub merged Nacelle with the prototype Thrust when they made that first toy of him. These are NOT Nacelle's colors. He's supposed to be dark blue and not have bright white and red. These colors are based on an old toy advertisement which had the G1 Thundercracker toy body with red and white prototype Thrust wings. Skywarp had red Dirge wings and Starscream had red Ramjet wings. There was also a red Beachcomber, blue and red Seaspray as well as a grey and blue Powerglide and blue Cosmos which would later go on to be Bad Boy and Pathfinder in that E-Hobby GoBots set. Black and white Astrotrain was also in the picture. The SS Decepticon are cool if you missed out on them I guess but I didn't. I missed out on some of the Autobots and still didn't pick that set up.
  3. What's even going on with this set? Is that normal Jolt with Powerlinx Hot Shot? So are they going to release the weapons, blast effects and Powerlinx Jolt as a separate core class "upgrade" kit for this Powerlinx Hot Shot? Why wouldn't they just included Powerlinx jolt with this set and then release standard Jolt as the potential "upgrade" set later? This is literally just creating more problems. But if they did make core class Minicons, what else would be in the boxes of the others? Swindle with a new sword or two and sword effects? Leader-1 with a shiv and some blast effects? Sparkplug and Over-Run as a two pack? Again, this is just bringing up more problems than it solves. That Jolt looks amazing though. I just hope that at least this one is going to be able to stand on its own and that it's just lying down in the pictures due to it having to stand there for a long time while people shaking the table and whatnot and not that it can't stand on its own.
  4. Arcee looks really good. Shame they didn't invert the colors of Cheetor though. Grey and yellow instead of yellow and grey. I'd have purchased two and picked up another of the single release and mixed and matched a set to have one all grey and another all yellow.
  5. Wow, our comments didn't age well did they? Such a shame that more wasn't done with Bludgeon to differentiate it from Tarn. Well in any event I hope they do Banzaitron too. As well as Blastwave from RiD 2015. Not to mention his and Bludgeon's mold mate from RiD, Megatronus.
  6. I ended up ordering this from Pulse as Amazon never changed the prices and it seems they got the pictures wrong and they sent out the other set when this is what was pictured. For whatever reason, I felt the urge to pick up one of the Shattered Glass Starscream upgrade sets for this. I got the one where it has ports on them and is supposed to work with the SG SS swords. I had the swords with Armada Starscream though and needed to order in a new set of swords for him. His Star Saber is with Hot Shot and his other sword is too small and I want two. For my SG SS I had a different kit that came with new swords and blasters as well as the new shoulder pylons. That set doesn't work well with Shockwave though due to the other SG SS specific pieces. I also picked up the "Null Ray" guns for this along with the filler and shield kit for Orion Pax. Those guns can peg in under the "nosecone" area so as to not interfere with the little wings that will be on the the big arm things from the SG SS set. Crazy I know but I just had the idea to get the SG SS set for this. Putting weird thruster things on an alt mode that already had weird thruster things. I wanted to get one of the other color sets but they didn't come with the tip of the "tetrajet" piece which I still wanted for my SG SS since the kit I got for him didn't come with the tip piece. The set I got comes in almost all red with a little white, several 50/50 red white sets and then a blue and white set. I wanted one with more white and less red but it should all work out. Now the wait to get in my big order of upgrade kits for these and a few other figures like Crosscut.
  7. I'm never going to really understand what goes through DNA's designers. Toe fillers. Yes. Rear vehicle fillers. Yes. Even better that they form heels as this mold really, really needs them unlike the deluxe and it's feet that shift back to balance. Handle for the gun. Yes. New axe. Sure. Thigh fillers. Sure. Part to attach the arm in such a way as to hide it away on the back better. Oh, okay I guess. I don't see why you'd detach the arm when you're using the handle to utilize the gun normally but okay. Options are good I guess. Fake wheels. It makes it more accurate I'm sure but was anyone asking for this? At least they transform with the figure and aren't partsforming pieces. Side panel "gap" fillers. Huh? Why? Where's the lower bicep fillers? What about the upper bicep/inner shoulder fillers? Who was looking to fill the side flaps on the legs? Did those really bother anyone? And what are the two tiny red pieces for? I can't seem to find where they're supposed to go. Nevermind I found them. I just thought they were part of the fake wheel pieces but there's tiny spots that those wouldn't fill in the shoulder pylon area (I'm assuming to allow for them to rotate around on their round peg for transformation) that those tiny pieces will end up filling. I would imagine needing to glue those in as losing them would make the shoulder pylons look weird and I doubt they'd be very secure otherwise. I just don't get why they'd fill in the obvious gaps on the thighs and toes but not on either part of the upper arms. They're just so obviously gappy in the shots since they're trying to show off the axe and the inner arms are blatantly showing off the gaps. There's so many kits for this figure now and not a single one of them addresses all of the "problems" with it. They're all missing some sort of filler for one or multiple things be it for the upper bicep, lower bicep, thigh, toe or vehicle rear. I guess this kit isn't too bad overall though. It's just missing pieces that should be there. And heaven forbid I tell them that on their Facebook page as I'd be swarmed by their white knights who think everything they do is a flawless masterpiece and I should feel lucky that they're magnanimous enough to allow me to purchase their products. Even though lack of sales for a number of their recent products and feedback about their sets at other places would beg to differ about how good their sets have actually been lately. I keep being told if I don't like it then I don't have to buy it. And while that is correct and it is what I've been doing, what good is that in the long run? If nobody ever tells them their faults and especially tell them on how to fix them, they how would they know beforehand that their kits aren't going to sell? I tell them before the sets come out so they have time to fix them like they did with the Siege Ultra Magnus legs (which I and many others pointed out that there should've been a secondary knee joint to which they went back and implemented). This way they don't put out substandard products on the market only for them to not sell, even while on sale for half price. But it doesn't matter, the people will continue to praise them while not purchasing their items. And what the fuck with the prices of their Fortress Maximus set reissues? They're charging at least $30 more each set than they should. Reissues should be the same price or lower since the sets were already used multiple times in multiple colors and have long since paid for the molds creation. That's some bullshit.
  8. Battlemaster Airazor looks amazing. I'd love to get a flock. Or would murder be a more appropriate word for a bunch of birds that turn into weapons?
  9. With those particular shades of red and blue, this made me think of the Captain America Hummer Crossover figure. When I realized that "Howlback"/"Ravage" was using the MP mold, I immediately went to find that KO MP Cassettecon set before it sold out. If they have the MP mold with this instead of a new one then that tells me that this will be compatible with them. I also love that one picture with Zartan's face smushed into the shoulder weapon thing while he's sitting in the backpack.
  10. I know that during the livestream they made a point to show that it does the "G1" toy thing and were somewhat excited about it. I was thinking it was going to be door wings for robot mode when I first heard about it but no, it's the leg thing. How lame. Door wings are always better. Jazz should've been able to have door wings too. Display options are cool and as always, options are good.
  11. Amazon still hasn't properly adjusted their prices. I wonder if they ever will. In any event I spotted the Orion Pax and Shockwave set in stock yesterday on Pulse so I ordered it there and cancelled my Amazon order just in case. This way I should definitely have both sets for the lower price. I have my three deluxe Orion Pax figures sitting here waiting for this one. However judging by the Cybertron Defense Hot Shot I also have next to them, this Pax is going to look a bit out of place next to the rest of them. Thrilling 30 Pax is still the best figure overall though. "Titans Return" Pax is at least bigger than the rest and is a more fun mold overall than the "SS86" mold which is the most accurate to G1 out of the two due to the retooled parts. It's such a shame that PotP Pax is so much bigger and turns into Optimus Prime's cab otherwise it would be the most accurate G1 Pax we've gotten even if it's a little too tall for the role as it's technically a voyager. I also have them next to WFC and FoC Optimus. I still think WFC deluxe Optimus is a better mold than the new SSG voyager. Now I remember why I never had any balancing issues with the deluxe though. You can shift the feet back quite a bit to help balance him. It's actually the new voyager that has balancing issues as you can't do the same with him and he has no heel spurs and rounded heels to boot...pun intended. FoC Optimus is a fun little mold. I forgot just how fun actually. Sometimes simple is good too. Shame he's too small and never got an oversized KO. As well as Classics deluxe Optimus with the rest. Wow that's a bad mold. I wonder what the rumored deluxe Optimus will be like. Obviously better than the Classics version in any event. And luckily without any action features. It's just so odd that they're doing another deluxe G1 Optimus for the "CHUG" line. WFC was a deluxe due to no voyagers at the time. FoC was a deluxe due to...well I don't actually know why. There were voyagers released then so why a deluxe? All of these deluxe Primes and Orions make me want to do some customs. I seen some pretty good ones using Siege Ironhide/Crosshairs and SSBB Ironhide. Maybe if I feel up to it I'll do one or both.
  12. I very much appreciate the attention paid to the deco. I don't often hate on Hasbro's decos but their Strongarm releases were always pretty trash. Strongarm figures were some of Takara's actual major wins over Hasbro in the deco department. Not every Takara deco was better like some people like to make out but I did get all the Takara Strongarm figures. Or rather, the legion, the Minicon battle pack and the warrior figures.
  13. This Nightshade figure only makes me want a new Transmetal 2 Prowl 2 more. I just want all the TM2s to get new toys. Jawbreaker, Scourge, Prowl, Ramulus, Sonar, Spittor, Cybershark, Iguanus, Stinkbomb, Nightglider, Optimus Minor, Scarem and Tigerhawk. We have four/seven options for Megatron depending on how you count them, three/four for Cryotek, one for Blackarachnia, Arcee, Cheetor and Dinobot 2 with Tripredacus Agent most likely being announced soon. Damn it just hit me that Hasbro said that Antagony is the last Generations Selects this year yet Cryotek has yet to be announced. We're getting both Skyquake and Dreadwing as well as Armada Megatron and Galvatron before Cryotek is announced or even leaked. What the hell? I just keep coming up with more and more figures that can be released in Generations Selects still but the last one was already announced for the year.
  14. Okay THAT might be worth the Junkions not being good to combine on their own like the Weaponizers, Modulators and Fossilizers. I just picked up my third Crashbar today from the extended Pulse sale. So I have three of him and three Scraphook. If that's indeed a new Junkion grunt then I'll pick up three of that one as well. However I have no intention of getting three of Axlegrease as she seems more like a one off like Detritus and not a drone/grunt/troopbuilder kind of character like the others. I especially won't be getting three Tow-Line/Wrecker Hook as one of that release is bad enough. So I hope they have at least one more coming out that can be a leg. One that isn't supposedly Lockdown, Axer/Axor or Circuit from Axlegrease like people think is going to happen that is. Rather, one more that actually fits the color pallet of the other Junkions in the combiner. I was reminded that in an original draft of the movie, there was supposed to be some kind of beastial looking Junkion combiner of some sort that was cut. Maybe this is some sort of homage to that? I kind of see Zod/Ultra Zod from the GoBots myself. Both versions are fair game for Hasbro to do as they were GoBots originals and not from Machine Robo in any way. I'd buy a five pack in all blue. I don't think we're going to get a Leobreaker soon. People were talking about Leobreaker back when they seen that Sixgun's torso could become a fist of sorts and nothing ever came of it. I think they now have plans on doing an actual Cybertron Prime and we might see a new Leobreaker then. Hopefully anyway. It seems like they're up to it since they did kind of address Cybertron Prime in a livestream when responding to a comment in the chat. I think it was the one when they either announced Armada Prime or showed him off, I don't quite remember which one it was.
  15. I'm only whelmed by this. Seeing as to how the legs and arms transform and how few moving parts there actually are and a few other factors, this should have been a bit better. Or rather, at least better proportioned. She's fine and all and I like the spindley look of her but I just wish that at least the thighs were longer. The short torso is fine as are the insanely long arms even if the shoulders should be better. It's just I really hate short thighs on Transformers figures. I also wish the guns did a little more to help them look like guns. It's just that compared to Cybertron Metroplex especially and even the Ark and Mainframe, the Nemesis is a little lackluster overall. So the shoulders, the short thighs and the guns aren't doing it for me with this figure but otherwise it's pretty cool. Oh yeah, the tiny axes are laughable as well. Looking back at the design sketches, the shorter thighs might have worked better had she had those digitigrade or reverse legs. But ultimately, I like the ones where parts of the alt mode itself became the thighs. Or it could've just looked more like the official character designs. The long and tall shoulder pylons going off to the sides of the shoulders look really good. As do the better proportioned legs with the bulkier thighs and the legs in general that don't stand straight. That's a good design, shame it didn't quite translate into plastic all too well though.
  16. Yeah don't expect it to look like that. This is using the wrong wings for a US release. "Collector's" con or not, they're still sold as toys so the official figure should very much have the rounded tipped wings. Not that I care one way or the other about the wings though as I couldn't care less about G1 reissues. Well, other than the fact that they always clog shelves and that space could be better used for more figures that actually sell. They've been clogging shelves other than a select few figures since they first started them. I remember going into Toys R Us and picking up 90% of them for like $5 a piece and they still weren't selling quickly. Ultra Magnus, Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime were pretty much the only ones that never went on clearance. Maybe Optimus Prime and Skids too. Even Ricochet/Stepper made it to clearance. A small but extremely vocal part of the fanbase rejoice when G1 figures get reissues but that almost never translates to sales. What's more baffling is that people seem to forget this each and every time it happens too. These clog shelves but I can't get a RED Galvatron or Shockwave and have never seen Shadowstrip and Crasher and would love another Galaxy Shuttle or two while others still want Soundwave, Bumblebee and Cosmos. But no, more G1 figures to sit around forever. Oh wait, BW reissues do that too since they're not reissuing the ones people really want. There are quite a few other figures from other lines people would like to get for different reasons. Test the market to see. Animated Rodimus Minor and Arcee, TM Megatron, Magmatron, Frostbite, Cryotek, Primal Prime, Target Devastator (RID 2001 Landfill), G1 Skyquake, G2 Slingshot, Energon Galvatron, Cybertron Megatron and Galvatron, Cybertron Optimus Prime and so on and so on. ...that took an unexpected turn. Seems G1 reissues bother me.
  17. Well that makes more sense. Her name isn't Laser Cycle Jazz, it's just Laser Cycle. That might actually be worse though. It's what she is, not a name. Road Rocket, Road Pig, Jazz and Soundwave are all Laser Cycles. So what's Soundwave's name going to be if they ever get around to making the other Laser Cycle mold and get around to making a toy based on THAT unreleased deco. Laser Cycle 2? I got it! Laser Cycle Too!
  18. And another one. I'm surprised they actually went with both unreleased G2 Jazz figures in the same line. Yeah the mold was there but there are plenty of other options to release him?...her? in. I would rather have seen that Horrorcon Blackarachnia I was talking about instead even though this is proving to be an unreleased "G2" line and not unreleased in general even though Toxitron himself was supposed to be a Universe release. At least we haven't gotten the actual G2 Jazz yet. What a waste that would've been to get over something that actually looks different from the standard release of the figure. But that should be it for any deluxes other than the extremely obvious we're getting at some point one way or another Wildrider and Breakdown. All that's left is to see if they'll be doing more voyager and leader figures. I would imagine that Swoop is out seeing as to how his toy hasn't even so much as been "officially" announced yet let alone leaked. So all that leaves is Sludge as another possible leader with Blackout and green camo Starscream as more voyagers. But going by Velocitron, I think they might be done other than maybe one more deluxe and voyager each. Velocitron was 6 deluxes, 2 voyagers but was supposed to be 3 and 2 leaders. So far for the Toxitron line we have 5 deluxes, 1 voyager and 2 leaders. This all leaves Motormaster out too though. I wonder how they'll be releasing that as you know they're going to.
  19. Deluxe Cybertron Hotshot. Pretty cool. As good as that original mold was, it's one that could very much use an update. I even want the redecos. Red Exillion, Excellion, Breakaway/Getaway and most importantly, the real SG Goldbug. Maybe even Bumblebee and Red Alert based on the redecos the legends version had too. I had Red Exillion but sold it. I'd like another shot at that deco. Someone on Facebook was selling him and Chromia Medic for only $100 for the pair. I jumped on it as soon as I seen it and was surprised nobody else had. I really only wanted "Minerva" but took them both. Then flipped "Hot Rod" on Ebay for $110. Not bad but now I kind of regret selling it since I mainly did as I was kind of hurting for money at the time and $100 for two deluxes wasn't really being responsible lol. I miss that guy who sold them. He sold quite a few "rare" figures for cheap. I picked up some nice figures from him. Thinking about it, I haven't seen his posts in a long time. Guess I was "wrong" about the Rocks not exactly being Rock Lords based on the names. I mean if you "squint" at the names of 1 and 2 long enough I guess they kind of sort of resemble the names of the leaders of the Rock Lords. Others seem to think they do in any event. I just didn't really see it other than the first letters being the same and them being loosely based on rock like things. We'll still have to see. And again, I really hope they go back to the older style of Weaponizers for them though and not the Junkion style. The Junkions just aren't as fun as the older figures since the torsos can't combine as they lack pegs and ports. Prime Strongarm is a long time coming. She needs to be bumped up to the top 20 or so Autobots that get made. She had a good design and personality and her alt mode is pretty good too being a larger automobile. Most importantly though she can be used as a basis for Smallfoot and any chance to get some more Gobots is always a win. I also want Gregevor/Greejeeber, "patrol mode" Strongarm, "desert camo" Strongarm, "arctic" Strongarm (was she in that mission?), armored up Strongarm and Ratchet too. Just give me all the Strongarms. So Lockdown's Steeljaw and not the Wrecker's Steeljaw? Either are fine I guess as it's not important. I wonder if they'll be retools of Ravage or a brand new mold. Will they have robot modes or just be "Action Masters"? I like having little guys like this to troopbuild so I'll pick a few up. Leader class SS86 Springer? I'm not really sure he needs to be a leader class. The Siege voyager was really good and it's not like he really changes all that much between modes. The mold is pretty big too so it's not like he needs to be resized to match Astrotrain and Blitzwing. If anything, they both need to be resized as they're both too short. Springer's height was always spot on though. I just don't really see how much better he can get from this point on. Yes there's a few things here and there but overall, his Siege design is pretty much it. Leader Soundwave? There's no descriptor for the universe he comes from so it must be standard G1. Obviously this is going to come with at least one minion, maybe two. I would imagine it's Netflix Soundwave with a new core class Ravage and Laserbeak. That would be about leader class. Otherwise what are they going to be doing with Soundwave? Make him a full blown triple or quad changer and give him one minion? I would love for Soundwave and Blaster to always have a third mode like Perceptor does but maybe one that's a little more involved than his. I just don't like inanimate objects as the main/only alt mode. The fourth mode would be the "lamp post"/spy mode thing. I would love a leader class Cybertron Soundwave though. I have all three of that mold and would love an update as the kibble is intrusive and the wings lack any poseability. The one thing that bothers me though is that they forced Blaster's mold to have Eject/Rewind come with it. With Hasbro potentially making all of Soundwave's minions as core class figures, the Eject/Rewind mold is always going to be some odd thing now until they do another Blaster figure.
  20. Finally seeing better pics now it looks more like "Dead Air" than it does "Haze" but now instead of "Haze" it looks kind of like "Jetblast" as well. Actually just take the silver and black off and it could pass for Earth mode Ionstorm. Regardless there's too many blue Seekers in general. There's technically like 16 and a half different blue Seekers. I'm counting Nacelle twice though as he has two different color schemes and Slipstream as the half. The actual color scheme for Nacelle from the show was a very dark blue and the one they keep making toys of which was originally just Thundercracker with very red Thrust wings from a single toy advertisement with the Aces showing off the Elite's new wings. I would've loved the non-Acidstorm green one "Gunwing". Or the all white one "Phantom". Maybe the Silverbolt colored one "Molotov". Anyway though I preordered two sets on Target with my Redcard to get even more of a discount. I'll get the third set whenever as they only let me get two now. Again, expect a bunch of these to flood Ebay at some point. I'm going to pass on the Ironhide/Prowl two pack as it's boring. I love that they don't have translucent plastic but the damage is not doing it for me. I don't set up dioramas and I don't do photo sessions. And unlike "dead" Optimus Prime, these can't pass for any other characters or even really be used as customs...unless they're dead. I do plan on turning my extra "dead" Optimus Prime into Nemesis since surprisingly not even Takara has used that version of the mold for Nemesis yet. I already have Grimlock and this isn't any different so that's an easy pass for me.
  21. This had me really excited until I seen Thundercracker. Out of all the background seeker decos they could've chosen they picked the one that looks exactly like Thundercracker. I think they just wanted an excuse to make a new Thundercracker that was solid blue instead of that blue that's slightly green tinted. The only real difference is that the actual Thundercracker has silver on the waist and the Seeker doesn't and it also has silver instead on the knees in place of black. They could've done Air Warrior, Blast, Wheezing Arrow, even Itami Prime. There's literally at least 25 other options they could've gone with before they even touched the six or so that look like slightly different Thundercrackers. Yet here we are with "Haze" I think. It looks like "Haze" in any event. "Haze" the unofficial name for this particular deco. Although it could also be "Dead Air". The blue is too light to be "Skywraith" or "Jetblast", and too dark to be "Blueheat" or "Firestorm". If it NEEDED to be blue then they could've gone with "Psyclone" since that one at least has a much different overall deco layout finished off with all black lower legs. Or Earth mode Bitstream or Ionstorm. Maybe even the Dirge colored Starscream. Just something other than one of the two who look exactly like Thundercracker. There's going to be a flood of these and/or Thundercrackers on Ebay. The Quintesson Bailiff at least takes the deco from the Allicon and gives it to the Bailiff version of the mold with the Bailiff's deco layout. At least that retool is getting the proper deco finally. Autotroopers are a long time coming. Not much else to say here. Two new and different heads are cool. Makes me with I kept my extra Siege Ratchet and didn't paint my other extra Siege Ratchet (an unfinished repaint into green Ratchet) so I could give the extra heads to what would've been my three Siege Ratchets. That way I could've had two sets of three Autotroopers as I troopbuild in threes and would have three extra heads. Jhiaxus troopers? Okay. Two new and different heads too. Okay. Pretty random but I dig it. Surprisingly not too far off from the one picture I can find of them. Just found another picture of a bunch of them together. They certainly look the part. Tank mode is wrong though. As well as no jet mode. But I guess that's why they went with Skullgrin and his hover tank alt mode thing. Shame the Autobots only get one troopbuilder here. One 'Bot, two 'Cons and a Quintesson. Sunstreaker clones exist too. They could've done him up in a color that hasn't been done yet on that mold yet like blue. There's also a non-police white version that they could've done. That price though. $78 for three deluxes and a voyager WITH new toolings and extra heads? Hasbro might actually be series about finally trying to Target the adult fans. Pun totally intended. I don't think I've seen them be that generous with their pricing on a multipack in a long time. The Rainmakers were about $10 off and World's Collide set was also cheaper than it should've been since I think someone forgot that the Kingdom Primal mold was a voyager and not a deluxe. They were all Target sets too. I remember back during RotF, DotM and that one WFC set they had multipacks that were under retail value but those were all Toys R Us exclusives if I'm not mistaken. This is almost a whole voyager figure for free with that price. I think the previous most generous was DotM voyager optimus and shockwave with a nearly free deluxe Bumblebee or something like that.
  22. Thanks Hasbro for letting Image make describing things within your franchises even more confusing. Not that you don't do that yourselves. RiD 2001 aka Car Robots. Prime Robots in Disguise aka PRID. RiD 2015. Robots in disguise in general as it was also a comic. Transformers Energon. Transformers Energon Universe. Transformers Universe in general. War for Cybertron the game and the short lived toyline. War for Cybertron the three part line plus the extra sub lines revolving it. Studio Series Gamer's edition War for Cybertron. Just plain Transformers Cybertron. Sometimes even War Within. The Transformers: The Movie from 1986. The Transformers, a movie from 2007. Revenge of the Fallen. ROTF. Rise of the Beasts. ROTB. Someone here seems to keep typing out F instead of B lately when using the acronyms😜. Until I finished reading the headline and clicked into this article, I thought we were getting a toy of Energon Universe Jetfire before Armada Universe Jetfire. Yes I know it said Skyfire but I read that as Jetfire. My head automatically translates it as such. But also because in Superlink aka Energon, his name is actually Skyfire instead of Jetfire. Shit be confusing lately. I hate trying to look things up on Ebay and not getting what I looked for due to it lol.
  23. While I do agree that there's more 4's and 5's in the votes here than probably should be, I don't agree that Hasbro gives us trash. But that's subjective. I do quite often find myself questioning the high votes some things get. And while I might seem like I just love everything sometimes, I really don't. I just don't hate everything (except for the upcoming RiD Tow-Line and Crasher from Kingdom Mirage and the Kingdom Mirage retool in general) and have a sort of understanding of the whole process and why things are the way they are for better or worse. But what problem do you really have with Dreadwing though? I mean, it's easy to just call things trash but what is it really that bothers you? I'm just kind of curious.
  24. I've seen the sisters go for as low at around $80 but even that was too much for me. Now I'm kind of regretting not getting them back then. I'll find them for the price I want eventually. I seem to do that quite frequently actually. Just need some patience and I have plenty of that. I've found quite a lot of stuff for stupidly low over the years. Nothing like picking up Botcon figures for less than they would've been at standard retail. And I don't mean from the Funpub going out of business sales either. But sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and accept the inflated prices. I have to really, really want the figure and haven't seen it cheaper in a LONG time though like I had to for UW Convoy Grand Scourge. Even then I still managed to get it for the lowest price I've seen in years. I gotta admit that I've been picking up older figure more lately too. Like just this past two weeks lately as I haven't wanted any older figures in years. I'm well past the point in my collecting where I only want one representation of each character. I just want good toys. I want different characters and molds as well. Sometimes I want every deco of a mold. So I just picked up Universe Hound, FoC Blaster, the first two redecos of WFC Optimus Prime as I already have the third and so on. Now I'm looking up Henkei Ironhide and Ratchet but not really interested in their Universe counterparts. I had both and they both had shitty paint on the translucent plastic which was common back then. Probably didn't help that I got them both used instead of new. Same with the Prowl I got with them. Now I'm searching for Rapido or Streetstar just to have at least one of that Universe 2.0 mold.
  25. Well damn. I've been looking for them and everyone selling them seems to think that they're worth a ton. I know they're not but I can't seem to find them for a decent price. I've been looking for years but only on Ebay. It would be funny if I just missed yours when you were having trouble selling them as I only check for them every so often. I managed to get a Sunstreaker for very cheap but people are holding Sideswipe hostage. None of these sell at the prices they have them at but they just won't lower the prices. Just because they sold for that much once to an idiot 7 years ago doesn't mean that the rest of us are going to pay those prices all this time later. Well damn. There's one set currently listed at $1,499.99. Looking at the sold listings it seems there are idiots out there as the lowest sold for $161.19. Another for $166.99 and another for $212.45. That's way to much for the sisters. Especially for molds that are prone to breakage. There's a lot with Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Universe "Ratchet" and Roulette right now that I just bid on but someone really wants it. I bid them up to over $100 and I would imagine they put quite a bit more down. I just don't want to go any higher especially if Shadow Striker isn't included. Oh and it also comes with Energon Arcee, Energon Energon Strongarm and Cybertron Breakdown for some reason. I could sell those three and Sunstreaker to recoup some of the price but again, no Shadow Striker. Now that I'm reminded I never picked up Universe Ratchet, time to look for him.
