  1. Got RTS Perceptor. He has an awesome robot mode, but the alt mode is a pain to transform into and for some reason I can't put my finger on it looks wrong. Like the truck has a bent frame. Still like him.
  2. I got Grimstone at Walmart. He was a black Friday "exclusive". Now I've busted him out of the box I should say something. As individual robots/dinobots they're nearly perfect. Like the long lost Dinobot reinforcements. They're very G1. As the Dino pope he works well, but Steamhammer makes the better PCC Gestalt IMHO. He was worth the cash. Let my son pick our next bot and he picked Air Raid from dotm. Better than I thought he'd be, but he looks so anorexic.
  3. Ok, on Black Friday I bought: DoTM Voyager Shockwave: Nice robot mode. The tank mode is still a bit iffy for me due to the fact that the cannon isn't centered. C'est La Vie. I did notice that the right arm, when it has the cannon attached, can pop off in poses or as you transform it. I tossed the hose almost immediately. Too short to be useful. PCC Steamhammer and Heavy Tread 2 pack: Steamhammer is my new favorite 5 pack combiner. He's what the line should have been all along. Makes me weepy. Steamhammer himself isn't that impressive, but as a combined bot....dear god he's good. Heavy Tread is nice on own, but Groudspike broke almost immediately. He leg ball joint popped off. Groundspike was just poor quality plastic. Heavytread makes for a good tank and combiner body, but in robot mode I have concerns about his small footing and his kinda ill formed hands. PCC Grimstone and Icepick 2 pack: I already had Icepick, but all the Grimstones at the store were packaged with him, so Bleh. Grimstone looks nice but I haven't popped him out of the package yet so I'll say more later.
  4. Got DoTM Voyager Ironhide on the cheap through eBay. Much better fig than I'd have expected given the reviews.
  5. I used the Target Coupons to pick up: DoTM Bumblebee: An ok fig. My son loves him. Cyberverse: Sentinel Prime, Battle Blade Optimus, Ironhide, Megatron: All fairly nice figs but Sentinel could have used a LOT more paint apps, to the point his vehicle mode looks terrible. DoTM Sideswipe: Considering the price, I can't complain much. He's a nice robot, but his hood pops off if you look at him funny in Robot mode and in Vehicle mode his side seams just won't tighten up. Still I do like him.
  6. Sidearm Sideswipe on clearance no less. Awesome find. Now I need the Booker mods for him :(
  7. DOTM Autobot Ratchet. A lot better figure than I expected. My son picked it out and I just went along. He loves it. Only issue is his mech tech weapon doesn't seem to fit well in his hand. Not a big deal as he's young enough I disarm his robots anyways.
  8. Yeah, I was aware it was an older model. I think if I hadn't immediately compared it to animated Rodimus, Generations Blurr, and Seragent Kup I wouldn't be so disappointed. Cyclonus is awesome. There's a reason my son immediately latched onto him.
  9. While on vacation: Generations Warpath: instantly in my top 5 favorite list. Like everyone said, a near perfect figure. Generations Blurr: I've heard a lot of complaints about how it "isn't Blurr.". But it is a nice figure so I'm pretty happy. Generations Seragent Kup: not a fan of how his front end is spring loaded. It makes changing him back to truck a difficult chore. I'm not regretting the purchase, but... Waiting when I got home: RTS Battle in Space 2 Pack: honestly knowing it was at home waiting for me motivated buying Blurr and Kup. Which turned out dissapointing because the RTS Rodimus mold just isn't as nice as Blurr and Kup. I'm not going to mention that other guy in the pack because my son immediately latched onto him and I'm never getting him back.
