He looks awful. I really really hate this slavish devotion to the cartoon series. We get garbage like this that looks like a robot wearing bright orange gym shorts with toothpicks for legs instead of a cool modern interpretation of this beloved character. The "Masterpiece" series just needs to change it's name to "Expensive Cartoon Transformers with Zero Aesthetic Sensibilities." Ugh!

Not a fan of the BROWNish gold tone used for the normally BRIGHT YELLOW flame on his chest. I wonder if someone forgot that that is SUPPOSED to be bright or if somehow the idea of "let's make his chest bright gold" got changed to "brown gold" somewhere along the line. Either way, this $2000 statue is above my price range so I guess it's not made for me!

This thing is WAY to expensive for how under-designed it is. I mean, would it KILL them to include turbines in the chest?!? The slavishness to the cartoon esthetic, while ballooning the price to ridiculous levels is insulting. I mean, it saves me a lot of money I guess, but it is also a huge waste of time when they should be working on an MS Jazz, MS Warpath, MS Kup, MS Galvatron, MS Scourge, etc. SO MANY other MS figures we need before another (overpriced) Prime or Seeker mold!

I would agree with you, except that the War for Cybertron figures have been AMAZING! The best depiction of almost every figure (they screwed up Ultra Magnus again by not making him a white repaint of Optimus Prime though - WHY, HASBRO?!?). I would love to see some post Pretenders/Pre-Beast Wars storyline. It would be really interesting to see what happened to the original Megatron and Optimus Prime and how their Beast Wars counterparts came to lead their respective factions!

I LOVE that Ultra Magnus is a white repaint of Prime. I think that is so cool. It make the fact that he is always walking around with his armor on so interesting. He is probably doing it because he either feels self-concious about looking like Prime or angry at being upstaged by his fellow mold-brother. I wish Hasbro would make more Prime white-repaints at Ultra Magnus, but just sell him at a higher price point and include his armor/trailor as an accessory. I get that Ultra Magnus usually has his armor on in the cartoon and TV show, but Ultra Magnus was originally a white Prime with armor and that is what he will always be to me. I agree we should demand that he come with his armor, but I don't understand when fans continuously harp on Hasbro making white Primes Ultra Magnus. It is like being angry that Sideswipe and Red Alert share a mold - Yeah! That is how they are supposed to look! End rant!
