I was in Kingman Arizona, checking out the local Walmart to see if they have any of the new Deluxes, and guess what I saw, YES! A bootleg version of Armada Megatron!

 

It was totally retooled and recolored. I did not see no minicon ports on it, but it was being sold for 8.00

yeah, my wal-mart had those, I haven't picked one up yet which is why I didn't post about it. Be decent to get to go along with Armada Megs, use 'em as tank drones or somethin'

must have , hope my wal-mart gets those. my wal-mart never has anything like bootlegs.

Wal-Mart sold that bootleg? I wonder how Hasbro feels about that.

 

I do like the paint scheme though. Does it have the spaces to add the horns from a real Meggie? That's all it's missing.

I saw that piece of junk at my local super walmart, they also had a retooled G1 jetfire, i think they are the ugliest pieces of sheete. They are also about 2 or 3 inches bigger than the original molds.

really g1 jetfire??? wow. i wonder if tidal wave can combine with that bootleg megs???

The plastic is thin and much weaker than the real version, no electronics or projectiles, and some of the hinges are a little loose. But otherwise it's pretty cool and definitely worth $8. It's larger than the original (robot stands 25cm tall at the head and the tank is almost to scale with Alternator cars), the extra gun is very cool in either mode, and it's amazing how much better the tank mode looks with that simple piece of plastic (shield in robot mode) put into the front section. The whole 'H' shape with Armada Meg's tank mode really irritated me. And I for one like the colors on this thing much better than either of the Armada versions.

 

I'm going to try and improve the articulation (which already matches the Hasbro version), repaint it and try any find a large, G1 Megatron-looking head to make it WW Megs. In my attempt to add knees, I'm going to try to install 'pull-out' knees that will add a couple of cm's, thereby making it almost tall enough to look 20th Prime in the eye.

I love the way it has 'possable action' AND is 'fully articulated' as well.
