Energon Hot Shot/Inferno

Recommended Posts

I don't have Energon Hot Shot and Inferno right now, but I'm considering making the leap. I have already read several reviews on them, and seen more than enough pictures. What I want to know is, what people on this forum think about these two figures. I don't want suggestions that I should get Rodimus and/or Prowl or any other figures instead, just opinions on Hot Shot and Inferno.

Should I get them or just skip them?

The fact that they are new molds should be enough to warrant a purchase. Get them now before they repaint Hotshot silver and stop shipping Inferno.

inferno as shirt, hotshot as pants = great

these two i really like, i recomend them

Yeah, that's the best out of the two, but if you do a 180 when Inferno as pants, it's not that bad. You can even flip up his windsheild and he looks like Ironhide :tflaugh

No, the both of them are great toys. Inferno has great movement even though he looks a bit like a block, but his play value is nice. The one thing I think you will hate is in Robot mode his gun stick in the side of his arm, but will a little pull you can take care of that :)

Hotshot is a better toy than I thought at first. Only reason I bought him was to powerlink him to Inferno. He is a nice toy, movment in the legs is stiff if you don't move them too much, but you can break them in. As for his arms, they are kinda wimpish, but for his size it fits and the shoulder pieces make it look a lot better.

Either way, they both get a 7/10 in my book.

They are both better than I thought they would be. Good movement, fun transformations, and they look good powerlinked. The only complaint I have is Hot Shot's arms as a shirt are a little too big.

Brawl is right 7/10 is fair

I think I am the only person in the world who likes Hotshot as the shirt. There is just something I love about the giant hands. It looks like he could beat the crap out of an elephant with his bare hands.

Just get em lol. I like both of them...and with Prowl and Roddi, it just adds to the play value. amd has a cool pic of Inferno with Rodimus pants, and I think Hotshot looks great with Prowl.

could you provide a link for that pic?

Anyway, I don't have Hotshot (I think he looks horrendous in bot mode) but I do have Inferno, and I am quite pleased with him. He has nice articulation, looks good in both vehicle and bot mode and looks cool as a shirt.

I'd recommend him.

As for hotshot. Check out the repaint and decide which you prefer.

I think the repaint looks all right on its own, but could look horrible if Powerlinked to Inferno. It might look good if Powerlinked to Rodimus, but unless they come out with a matching Inferno, I think that I will stick to the yellow Hot Shot.

The only thing that really turns me off is the quality of plastic used on Hot Shot. Other than that, I'm just about ready to go for them. My other choice is to go for the Superlink versions of both.

So, if price were not an object, should I get the Superlink ones instead of the Energon ones?
