Classics Cliffjumper head

Recommended Posts

Hi guys can you help me. I seen that upgrade set for classics Cliffjumper not long ago but cannot afford the sh!tty prices on Ebay.

Can anyone help my find a decent classics CJ head, or show me an easy way to make one?

Thanking you in advance

James

'Fraid I'm not going to be much help other than pointing you in a direction. I've spent the last while trying to find the tutorial, but I'm not having much luck.

There's a person that modded Cliffjumper's head by snipping off pieces off of his Ski trailer, and gluing it to the head. I'll keep searching for the tutorial.

Edit: here's one mod. Not the one I'm looking for though; http://forums.TFormers.com/talk/index.php?...r+head+tutorial

I'll edit with more, if I find 'em.

This is the link you mentioned right?

I don't want to hack my CJ's trailor up unless i kow it'll work out alright

Yup! Just found it, too. ^_^;

Makes sense. I suppose the first link would work the best then?

I also heard a member named Valkfan was producing Cliffjumper heads. That might be another path to look down?

I messaged Valkfan last night but no reply sadly. I have no problems painting but kitbashing when it involves sculpting isn't for me

Please be patient with Valkfan. He's got a lot of things going on right now, and he can't always reply right away. :tfgrin

I got my Classics Cliffjumper head from him a few months ago, and I'm glad I did. :thumb

THanks for the info Grindcore. I shall be a little more patient then lol. Just out of curiosity is he supplying them painted or not? I can paint really well but just want to know if I have to set time aside to do so.

I believe he's just doing them unpainted (that's how I got mine). Considering the sculpt and construction, I thought it was well worth the ten bucks plus shipping I paid for it. :thumb

yeah all I need is a reply from him now. I now he's probably busy but it's been 3 days now :(

Hey Grindcore, thanks for the vote of confidence. I really appreciate it.

Yes, I do have a lot of things going on right now. I've been very busy and although I haven't had much time to work on my custom heads, I am making progress. First, I am experimenting with resin dye so that my custom heads WILL come colored appropriately. My problem has been with air bubbles in my recastings. The scale of the heads plus the amount of details makes it difficult to recast them appropriately. Today I've ordered a higher quality resin that will help reduce/eliminate the amount of air bubbles in my recastings.

I am also in the process of remaking each and every mold for all of my older heads as well as new molds for the Stunticons. During this process I've also taken the time to rework some of my sculpts and make improvements here and there. The bottom line is that my sculpts are about to take a quantum leap forward.
