Knowing our luck, I'll be 70 before Energon wave 2 is released - bearing in mind i'm only 26 now!!

By the time we see anything of wave 2, there'll probably be another two lines out and Energon will be finished.

We didn't miss them. Jetfire and co. are part of wave 1.5, which we haven't gotten yet :tdown :redface

The waves appear to be a little different in the UK than in the US. I'd ask UK fans to bear a few things in mind, the first of which is that we received the first Wave 1 figures whilst Armada was still on the shelves. Basically, by the time Wave 1 of Energon hit the US Armada was all but gone, but Britain has less people and therefore less demand. We also received during the summer, which has never been the hottest time of year for toy sales.

 

Wave 1.5 and 2 will turn up, with all their Scorponok, Starscream and Jetfire goodness, but not until Wave 1 has gone. Note how there are still Armada-Energon repaints on our shelves?

Yep. Scorpy Jetfire and Startscream are part of wave 1.5. A lot of people haven't realised that.

 

I would say they and wave 2 are due in the next few months.

 

 

We still represent a small portion of TF sales in the UK, and there's not many children that can afford to drop £80 on toys in one go. They're dependent on the good will of elders and xmas. So, they're being held over for the xmas market.

I was going to say I expect new stuff will start turning up when the cartoon show appears on UK screens, but after the kids go back to school is a fairly good estimate. Also, people might want to buy stuff for Hallowe'en trick-or-treating, so we may see stuff pop up around then.

 

What it does mean is we should be in full swing for Christmas, and just about getting the good stuff. :tflaugh

Man I really hate to hear how Hasbro neglects my fellow Transfans in the UK. Have you guys thought about working with fellow fans in the US to buy figures for you and ship them over to the UK? And this would be great way to keep the fandom alive as well get enough people working together.

 

Here is a rough ideal.

 

Fans in the US can buy the figures that you need, that have been sitting on the shelves here for a long time, that same figures Hasbro might send you next year or so. It would be a nonprofit program, as such no scalpers, the TFans here get the figures that you want we find out what the postage would cost. Then we let you know the total of the figure and shipping to the UK you send a money order to cover the price.

 

It’s just a thought anyway for TFans to help out other TFans.

That kind of offer is always tempting, but there's the fact of costs on our end that have to be taken in, so it's usually a deal that's only taken if you truly know the person. The costs for overseas can be very high and not everyone knows the currency exchanges between the US and the UK. I know that if I could afford it, I would be asking if anyone there could find me an Armada Jetfire and Overload and a lot of the reissues and Energon we're not getting here and/or won't be getting here. UK and Europe TF fans are treated like dirt by Hasbro, we're lucky if we see more than a few TF's get released here in one year. We're already not getting the Universe line, that's US and Canada only as far as Hasbro is concerned, and it's not looking good for the other lines coming out here. It's as if they just don't want to make a profit from us.
