Was trying to get a figure version of Thunderwing and was wondering how the leader Megatron from the movie would work as a base? If the chest was redone a bit and a new head and hands and paint job???

Do you think its plausible? or ridiculous?

Anyone capable of digi-bashing this to see what is would look like?

It's a good idea for sure. You'd just have to smooth out some of that movie kibble and it would definitely be on it's way.

TF_Master did a nice Thunderwing from an Armada Megatron. I can't find a picture, but maybe another user can help us with that one?

Actually I'm planning a Thunderwing kitbash of my own.

 

I'm slowly working my into the customization game though.

 

My plan is to use Energon Megatron as a base and do some creative modifications to make an original version of Thunderwing.

 

I'm designing it to fit more in with the Classics theme. I had a thought I was considering to take the wings from a movie Megs and replacing the wings on E-Megs with them. That's just one of many ideas I'm still considering.

 

I want to also use one of the jet minicons that came with a couple of the Armada Starscream repaints and try to incorporate that into the bot and alt mode in a classic pretender style.

 

I haven't had the chance to break down a Megs yet and see what all I can do. It's probably still awhile off yet, but I will do it.

I have seen the one TFMaster did. It was pretty cool and would fit with classics. However I think the more mech-organic feel of the movie design fits better with his stormbringer incarnation. I was wondering how it would look in a metallic olive green colour. Not sure I like the colour but It seems close to the comic
