I'm not too wild about them making Grimlock into a car, but I've got to say this is one awesome toy.

Heres pic number 21 lol. I popped off the undercarriage by accident, it goes on and off easily enough should you care to remove it.

Is the robot mode the official transformation? BC the bulk part of the knees bothers me tremendously.

Oh... I only realised now after seeing these pictures that the rear seats are his feet!

Seems kinda like the fists stick out a bit under the front bumper, which ruins all the effort to hide all the 'bot parts with the undercarrage piece.

 

 

My only gripe tho. Otherwise very nice.

there is no grip on the undercarriage to use it as a sheild, just virtually flat plastic on both sides unfortunately

w/ the undercarriage popped off he looks tremendously better, maybe i'll use that part as like a stand when i get him.

oh and had forgotten to say that the undercarriage is there to brace the car mode together firmly, otherwise I am sure they wouldnt have bothered with it. The fists dont stick out at all, you need to be almost underneith him to see them at all.

This is the most annoying part, the chest is held in place by those 2 tiny prongs sticking over the stomach plate, the grib is not great and can pop out easy

 

Well, you have to keep in mind that stolen test shots aren't designed for the mass market, and are going to be far more loose and frail than the actual release. The Alternators have been aces so far, so I'm sure any quality issues will be ironed out by the time Grimlock hits the shelves.

Do you think it would be possible to get a shot of him with another Alternator or two? I'd like to see if Grimlock is slightly taller than the other toys in the line, or if he's about the same. Thank you.
