NEED HELP!!!!!!!

I have got to know, have any of you ever made a kitbash for the original G1 Ironhide and Rachet molds? What I am looking for is someone who can build a chestback, head, and shoulders to fit into the open "chair" area behind the windshield on the orignial mold so it looks G1 acurate. I have always hated how the toys never looked like the characters. It doesnt have to tansform with it, I would prefer if it just plugged in and out of the open space. I only want it for display purposes, I have had this idea for awhile and just dont have the skills, materials, or time to be able to design one myself. If anyone out there can make me one each for Ironhide and Rachet, PM me with the material and labor cost.

I could probably sculpt them rather easily if I had the toys myself and some reference materials from the show.

I completely agree they are terrible toys for the characters, hence me wanting to sruce them up a little, you know get them good enough to make the desplay cut.

I’m sure a lot of kids were very disappointed in xmas 84 when they opened up their new G1 Ironhide and/or Rachet and say that they looked nothing like the cartoon characters....oh the pain. :tftounge

Personally, I was always disappointed when characters in the comics and show didn't look like the toys - not the other way round. I remember being really disgusted with what they did to Bumblebee - his toy head is so much cooler looking! Brawn was another let-down. The toys came first so it was up to the artists to be 'toy accurate'. I know the various reasons why they weren't but it's still disappointing nonetheless.

Actually, I'm suprised the gang at reprolabels hasn't come up with an alternative, using stickers with the cartoon heads, rather than that, that... What the heck are thoughs things? :tflaugh

Try going over to Remy's forum and asking there, he knows places that do that type of stuff. Good luck and remember to share pics if you get it done successfully. :thumb
