Animated Battle Begins Battle Pack Earth Prime, Megatron

Recommended Posts

Excactly, though he is mistransformed in the pics,i think he would actually look awesome if properly alligned in vehicle mode. not a fan of the practicly leader class-sized axe,but his fists seem identical to pre-earth prime,so that axe should fit in the hands. i will probably get this set for some obsessive fanboy reason.

There have GOT to be better things to do that argue this particular point.

:tflaugh It's pretty slow at work today.

No jobs left over here in holland. X-( i wish i had a goddamn job.

The two to a side is just a painted line, and okay, the crest in the middle is slightly less curved, but the upper legs for example, even the hollow spot in the middle has the same shape with them, the feet still have the diagonal lines even, the neck is also completely unchanged from the original.

The upper legs are different, too. See on your Cybertron Prime, how there are the four vent like slots at the point up towards the hip on each upper leg? Well, Earth Mode Prime lacks them. You can also tell in this picture that the "two to a side" effect on the pelvis is a molded in issue, not a painted line issue...especially since you can see the two pieces on the "battle damaged" side that lacks the yellow paint.

I've compared, dude. Almost none of the pieces on these toys are identical. They're two different molds.

Those differences are made in less than half a sec with a tissue and a toothpick. The lazy hasbro peeps would never go through the trouble of building a new mold with several parts being excactly measured copies of other parts with tiny wittle carves removed being the only change. besides, they probably just tried to cover up the fact that it's a retool.

Oh well, forget it. let's just talk about the toy itself,i think it's awesome balls except for the weird axe,not much of a disguise now,is it?

I don't think you understand how mass produced toys are created.

I'm totally getting Cybertron Prime, but I'm skipping the deluxe two-pack in favor of the Voyager versions of both characters. The ax and the smokestacks on deluxe Earth Prime are :fail

Axe is fail indeed, but it's WAY more accurate than the pre-earth one, which was

1.too long, prime's axe had a very short rod in the flashbacks.

2.way off colorwise.

3.Weirdly proportioned, but i understand that's just too make it fit in vehicle mode and make it look more natural.

And i'm surprised you don't like the Smokestacks as an homage,oh well, they're not even screwed on there, they pop right off.

I think I just figured out what looks off to me about the 2-pack Prime - the paint on the chest doesn't match up to the red on the rest of his body.

I still like it though...

I disagree...the ax is not fail. It's a pretty damn decent representation from the show, much more that Voyager Prime. Those stacks really do ruin the package, though.

I just meant the ax's storage in vehicle mode. It is actually a nice stand alone accessory, but I've been spoiled on weapon/transformation integration since Beast Wars. And, when compared to the way Deluxe Cybertron Prime's ax becomes his "trailer hitch", it's really kind of a let down from that perspective.

Oh. Well that's true.

It´s cybertronian or pre-earth,pick one.

Second, the axe looks good, but it's hollowed out. (groooooss),way too damn big,and sticks out of vehicle mode in a way that's damn ugly.
