Well considering there will be Minicons in Cybertron, that kind of says that its not going to be a "G1" prequel, im thinking more armada :P

Yeah I heard it was going to take place after Energon and some of the people from Armada that didn't make it into Energon will be in Cybertron. All the old humans will be gone and some new ones will be in it. I never heard of a prequel to G1. But that would kick a$$. A WW type cartoon would rule. And don't get me started on the toys

I'd rather continue the new story...the old one has too many flaws to be used now...Maybe if they totally restarted G1 from scratch, and ignored the old show...but they'd also be missing lots of characters for copyright reasons...and have to replace them..which would just be Armada and Energon. I'm not willing to give up the new continuity for something that already happened: G1

Cybertron is a continuation of Armada/Energon. In fact, a lot of the bots that vanished between the 2 series return in Cybertron. That is from the mouths of Archer and Fields at the convention.

 

Generation Zero is just random stuff Takara has done over the last couple years.. it doesn't really seem to "mean" anything.

Yep, I can confirm. At the OTFCC Hasbro Panel this year it was stated that Cybercon would be a continuation of Energon.

That is awsome, now maybe finally I can get the articulated scavenger that I wanted in armada.

Plus I heard it will invole Primus. Toy maybe?

For me I look at Dreamwave's Transformers as starting from scratch. The same characters with a more desirable toy acuarate look and more realistic stories that I've been wanting to witness since I was a kid.

 

But I agree that they should just continue the stories in this continuity. I also have read to that Cybertron will take place years after Energon.

 

I wonder what they'll title the next series after Cybertron? I also wonder how long it will be before they make a new Beast Wars with new Characters?
