I've been messing around with a new style of TF work. I'm going for high detail but with a more simple organic approach. It's kind of what I think the movie designs should have been.

 

Yet again I'm starting with Ironhide (guess I like him or something). I changed the forehead and neck a little for the last two sketches, I think I like it better. Time permitting, more will be up soon.

Looks pretty cool so far, I'm very interested how the whole body turns out. :thumb

Looks good! And actually, the forehead might NOT have been "changed". From the looks of it, perhaps that forehead can 'pop out', maybe exposing a heat sink on the upper rear portion (hidden when retracted) for when he's in combat. Heck, perhaps he has many panels on his more robotic parts that do so - among other things, it also would have a 'puffer fish' or 'hair standing on end' effect of making him seem somewhat larger in his "combat" mode.

It has a real Anime feel to it. And I don't mean that crap that they tried to pass off as Transformers: Cybertron. I mean, this looks good! I want to see the whole body.

Thanks guys, I have the body and transformation all mapped out in my head. Hopefully, it will all make it to paper soon. First I have to do a cover for the IDW cover contest!
