You cannot include Gobots and Alternators in the same sentence :wtf There is no comparison.

P.S. Just to be clear, this is what I mean by Gobots.

I like Grimlock as an alternator. It opens that series up to just about anything, and could really give us some interesting reinterpretations of those characters. Plus if you don't like it, take it home and call it whatever you want.

The thing that I loved about Alternators was how conscientiously the designers "updated" classic G1 characters, while maintaining fidelity to the original characters. Sideswipe as a red sports car, Hound as a Jeep, Smokescreen as a rally car, etc. And now that whole idea has been chucked out the window.

 

Okay. I'll be honest. You want to know the real reason I'm upset about this? It's because Has/Tak picked the wrong car for Grimlock. As we all know, he *should* have been:

 

TRUCKASAURUS!!!!

i dont really like grimlock as a car either, i dont see why they would make a non-car character into a car, not to mention the fact that they are coming about with a grimlock figure in energon that is a really good homage to the original character.

personally i would of prefered him as some sort of SUV or even better yet a hummer...but im far from being upset about him looking as cool as he does :D

I've gpt tp disagree with those that don't like it, when i read about it before seeing it i was like oh this can't look good, but when you see the pic, I hate to say it but it looks good, and he has a sword!, although it looks kinda short.
