so lemme get this straight, based on the little info we know you have already decided that it sux and is not worth your time. Usually, I wait til the movie comes out and actually hear something about it other than rumors. Look, I love TFs, and I'm gonna see it for myself. I don't go by what someone else has to say, we all have different tastes. I love comics, and I've loved the X-Men and Spider-Man movies, but didn't like Hulk or the last 2 Batman movies. So instead of writing the movie off as a load of crap 2 years before it comes out, why don't you just wait and see what happens? There's no harm in that.

agree. but need to say more, i think Don Murphy needs to get something a little more clear on the movie. He has stated (and others involved) that it will be using the original mythology as a basis.

But remember, they are making a NEW movie. THIS HAS NOT BEEN DONE! In my opinion, since G1, every Transformer branded show is connected in a similar ... oh i dunno.... vibe.... :P Obviously there are some extremes, Beast Wars, RiD for example took the Gauntlet laid down by Hasbro in the 80's. Came up with good writing (BW's was DAMN good writing imo)

Now we see DWave re-paving G1. when i think G1, toys is 80's, but man, those stories sucked.... now we've got some real meat to get into in the new comics. Sure i'd love 5 G1 comics every day... but we gotta wait.

Don, and whoever else will write this and get it onto the big screen will make a reality i think similar to The Day After Tomorrow. Think of the weather, sure, the freezing wouldn't really happen like that, but it was a 'realistic' view ... again imo

I'm not worried about the look of the tf's, and if they get the right voice actors, there is no problem. then it really comes down to script. G1megs, G2 megs, Energon Armada megs were all MEGATRON!!! Sure, they have their nuances. But man, they all kicked butt!!!

Anyhow, might save some for another rant sometime

Go Transformers!

I for one am just so excited. I don't care what they turn Soundwave into (someone mentioned a comm. relay vehicle). If they say the physics would look ridiculous in real life to have him shrink, i believe it. But the actual character needs to be there...that emotionless sycophant is just so important to the series, IMHO.

i think so long as sound wave can deploy the little guys form his chest i dont think i would care about what his alt mode was but a comm truck sounds best

ok well apparently I misrepresented myself. I am happy with the fact that they are MAKING A MOVIE. However, they say things about keeping to the originals, making it G1 and all that good stuff...

Obviously if they change things all around it won't be the original G1. If they just said they were makin a TF movie...and said they weren't sticking to a specific continuity, but were instead creating yet ANOTHER universe within the larger story, it would be good. However, they say that fans are being heard, that it will be like the original, then they say that things are being changed...

This imo is not a good sign...

I will CERTAINLY see this film, even if it DOES end up being terrible (which I doubt it will). The fact that it is TF makes it a must-see, and a must-own when the time comes.

For real enough with the G1 uberness obsession. Not everything is going to be G1, get over it.

That makes sense.. except for the minor fact that they've previously stated it IS G1. :roll

And since when has TF had anything to do with "realism", beyond the G1 and RiD vehicle modes?

exactly :pfx

Hey guys about the movie don murphy may lay hints at what he is wanting but dont mean its gonna be in the script. Wait to comment when the script is done and someone leaks it out which they do to salivate the masses. or a second thought wait til the movie comes out and see for yourselves whether its good or not.
