pairadocs design lab - Custom WRECKAGE!

Recommended Posts

Hey all!

Been gone for a bit - glad to be back! Been sick, then just busy, and have been spending more time with my other hobby, photography. Finally got around to finishing a new custom - this time, my favorite one of the movie line - Wreckage! I just love his robot form, with the arm-mounted swords, etc....

Did the usual treatment... filled in the gaps, sanded down all the mold lines, etc. - then I airbrushed a more realistic grey camo pattern on him, and then went in with drybrush highlights and weathering powders to finish him up!

What do you think?

I have more high-res photos on my Flickr account here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/pairadocs/set...57594541503260/

P.S. - He's on eBay now - I changed my name from toyhunter99 to pairadocs-design there because it was more apt, obviously. ;) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=320171324236

Looks amazing. I like that even more than Jin's "Stryker" version.

You mistranformed him. The knodges of the arms go below those of the legs, lining up the edge of the outer hull, and at the same time lining up the wheels as well.

Supreme_Megatron - Thanks man! I appreciate it!

omnicron primus - Ok... thanks for letting me know!

Father Time - Hmm.. not sure what you mean by your description... knodges of the arm? Do you have a picture or know of a picture somewhere that illustrates that? I transformed him according to the directions that came with him to the best of my knowledge...

Thanks for the feedback - please keep it coming!

I never was too fond of this mold. Pass it several times a week and never really gave it a second look.

But I absolutely love the way you made this look. I'm so tempted now to go to the store and buy one to do this myself.

Really great work :thumb

This so makes me want to try my first custom repaint.

I was looking at the regular, unmodified Wreckage at Wally World yesterday and I had to laugh... it looks so lame. I've seen a couple different customs and they are incredible.

Is there a custom discussion I can go to where I can ask all the lame n00b questions about how to do it?
