So far I think it has gone well but I am dreading painting the face due to all the irregular surface bumps and such. Also I am not sure what to do with the chest yet (needs more red). It has also been tough because the colors for him in the comic were really inconsistent.

I suppose I will mention he will no longer transform. The hole in the right shoulder where the gun was, is filled in with wood filler (an old trick from my miniatures painting days). I might do the same for the holes on his upper back (the whole panel on the back was removed). The pelvis will be superglued together for stability.

I finally decided what to do with it this morning and it's along these lines. I want to get it a bit further along before I post more pics but it should be soon (the darn thing is taking up far too much space on my desk!!).

Cool!! I love Straxus! You have to do a head-in-a-bubble version, too! I made one from cardboard and a washing powder ball when I was a kid! :D

 

 

 

Actually, Straxus' chest looks a bit like classics Jetfire's....
