Custom Supercon Megatron - a 1st attempt

Recommended Posts

My first real try at a Transformers kitbash (my Hoistmus homage doesn't exactly count, that was a repaint and I was just emulating what Dark Lord Prime did).

THIS bad boy was done as a "let's see what I can do with the parts leftover from

Hoistimus plus whatever cheap KO parts I have" thing. The body is mostly supercon Prime,

the head is Hoist's, the tank treads and back-mounted gun from a KO Brawl, the

fusion cannon and telescopic laser from a Battle Ravage, the chest from a mini KO Devastator.

Will try to post more images later. Keep in mind this was really a first attempt...

This is actually pretty damn cool. Does he have an alt-mode?

For a first attempt, a job very well done. The paint looks clean and smooth. And good choice on the head.

He looks like a half-track vehicle of some sort.

While I'm not entirely sold on the head, overall that's a VERY cool kitbash.

I think the arm cannon's a bit too small, but other than that, cool.

I like it. Looking forward to the alt mode. My only minor crit is that the gloss finish clashes a bit with the matte finish.

Cool thanks!

I'll try to post my album tonight (am not at the right computer

otherwise I'd do it now).

Zero is more-or-less correct in that it is a half-track vehicle.

I didn't like the way supercon Prime's wheels looked on a Megatron

(kinda balloon-y and thus goofy) so I took off what I could.

I think the effect is close to what I was going for.

Am going to look for alternate heads I might consider swapping

or casting and swapping later, I'm not 100% sold on the Hoist

head myself, it was the closest I had in my parts pile.

Also still working on his minicon... a repaint of Wreckage,

essentially. Think: "evil" Roller for a Megatron.

The other cool part is that one of the back-mounted cannons

he has can attach to the fusion cannon ala G1 to make a longer,

larger telescopic cannon (which allows Megs to "link interdimensionally

to a black hole" or something)

Photos to come... thanks for the great feed back

So cool... I want to see the alt mode NOW. Congratulations.
