exactly, but hey, camshaft was an rx-7

That’s what makes it ok for me....but hey as long as it's a cool transformer I don’t care what they call him. :thumb

Exactly my point...I don't really care what the name is. Camshaft is ok because it was the name of an RX-7, but at the same time, weird, because neither car has a camshaft. Perhaps that's why they called him Camshaft: he didn't have one, and everyone else did.

But I don't really care what the name is, as long as the final product looks like an RX-8 should, and has an appropriately nice looking robot mode.

well...I guess that gets them around the whole denying it was jazz thing

This makes a lot of sense...

Hasbro will neme it Meister? Huh?

they are probably reserving the option for a Porsche...

Something tells me someone at Hasbro forgot that Meister = Jazz. In any case, I sure hope someone remembers to make him white.

Who had come up with the news that it wsa going to be camshaft!?!?!? :redface

I read this on another board and it totally slipped my mind but it makes sense. Seeing as the auto makers do have say into marketing their products. I don't think Mazda would want the market confusion (however slight) of calling him Jazz.

The Honda Jazz/Fit/City however would be good for Alternator Skids. ;) *checks for car named Skids* :)

I had said the same thing in one of the alternator threads but no one seemed to like the idea....for some odd reason everyone thinks the original Skids was a minivan.

But he was a Honda City....aka Jazz....which is a little hatchback car.
