Nice, but i think you did something wrong with the horns, that's why i'm asking Laulau to give some better info,he's expecting us to succeed with a few sloppily drawn pics.

And why is he to lazy to check his threads for responses anyway?

Yeah I agree that my horns look different than his. I have another Cliffy so I'm gonna do it again and keep the horns stock and redo the horns on the first one I did.

Probably end up selling one of them after I finish them both

Well... thanks for the "sloppily drawn pics" :tfsad . I was actually trying to make things simplier for people to understood. And I thougth the pics of the final result could help for the details. And I didn't have any digital cam at the moment I was bashing it anyway. But well... if you didn't understood, I'll see if I can find time to make a bigger pict.

About the 90° or 90 % (does it really matter) alcohol, I just used what I had under my hand. You can use anything as long as it doesn't contain any aceton as it destroy the plastic too. The only paints to resist 90% alcohol are the Energon combiner. I'm still looking for another non-acetonic solvant.

I didn't neglected this thread by laziness but because I was too busy finishing a comic book that will come out in january. Sadly, I'm still not paid to surf the internet ;)...

Now, Lucs, I'm really touched that you thougth this idea was good enought to aply it to your own Cliffjumper. The work is really good even if the Horns are quite a bit too long. But if I were you, I'd just cut, shorten and then glue them back. I even think I remember mines were too long first too and had to do that. You don't really need to bash another one for a better result.

I can see that you also switched the upper arms with Bumblebee. I planned to do that and I like how it look on your. I wanted to switch the rear wheel blocks too but I think it will be too risky.

I like the big gun too ^^. Where does it come from ?

First off, I think your drawings help a lot. I didn't follow them exactly though. I actually started with more plastic then shaved down as I went along cuz if you make something too small in the beginning you can ruin the project. I'm sure that's how you started yours too.

I gotta give you mad props for coming up with this project to begin with. I can paint and cut but I've never sculpted anything. This project is a great way to get Cliffjumper looking like himself, it just takes some time and effort to get it right

I also say don't pay attention to the guys with the negative comments. Giving any kind of help to make a custom like this is far beyond anything you have to do. You've done a great thing and I thank you.

Sorry though, cuz I can't remember where I got the big honking gun from :tfhuh

Oh and check my thread over at TFW2005 about this custom cuz the guys are really digging it over there

WOW. Thanks for crediting me there. I may try to register on this other forum soon.

My... I'm so busy with drawing comics I can't custom anymore for a time. But I'm dying to found a way to make a big gun that will disassemble to fit under the hood and between the leg to finally complete that custom !

Looking your with the big gun is so teasing :)

I don't mean to be rude to the people on this board but the TFW2005.com board members seem to appriciate work more and offer more constructive comments and less rude or mean ones. You should really check it out

On a happier note I just finished fixing the horns on my first one (I made them pointy)

I even did a second one with the stock horns and gave him weapons from his old trailer

I'm gonna sell one of them, not sure which one yet though

aww, dude that's not what i meant by "sloppy". i meant that they didn't really show where the cuts had to be made very well. the pics itself were drawn better than anything i can draw. (lol i suck). i only said "lazy" because i was in a pissed off mood.

The tutorial is a great help,i'd just not start cutting up heads when i don't know how many millimeters from the chin it has to be,etc.

This is a great tutorial. I just finished mine. I like it but I think keeping the original horns might have been better. Here's a few pics of how mine turned outcliffy001.jpgcliffy002.jpgcliffy003.jpgcliffy004.jpgThanks for the idea!
I could see what youo mean. The horns could have been a bit shorter but he looks grea never the less. Just awesome! Good job! :thumb

I must have been in a sad mood too.

But there is no precise measure to give. That's the whole idea. You cut a piece of plastic slightly larger than what you need, you try it in place and you cut more, little by little, until you've got what you need. It belong to you to decide. You can want longer cheeks but you'll have less mouvement or the contrary.

But you can go with it and edit some measures here later.
