Well, VW said 'NO' My first instrinct would be that BMW would also say no. Being German companies they're probably BOTH against war toys.

The (new) mini isn't actually that small anways..........

Would be nice if BMW were interested tho. An M3 CSL BT would rock.

Okay thay will probably never happen. But let me dream at least.

As for Ford, Im inclined to believe that one, Ford have a majoiry stake in Mazda, plus Ford are on a big marketing drive right now anway.

If Mini were actually against being associated with "fighting robots", they wouldn't have used one for their new marketing campaign, would they?

Oh, and Ford... Ford are in.

As now featured on my site:

Just got my reply from Mini. I first pointed to the robot on their website, then gave a link to BBTS' preorder page. Looks like I asked the wrong people, though...

Hi Torsten, thanks for writing MINI.

The information you provided is not a MINI product. I am sorry to say that we cannot provide you with any additional information.

So, even Mini don't know for sure... They didn't say "No, this will not be done" but more so "We don't know anything about this, because even if it's for real, it's not produced by Mini ourselves, so we can't help you". So, the quest goes on...
