so the whole scorponok and blackout combining in alt mode gimmick is pretty cool, but i was bummed that they didnt combine in bot mode. so after some fiddling around, i came up with this:

its a little ghey, esp with the "crotch rocket" blackout now has, but hey, it actually holds up pretty well. :ghey

and here is "Blackonok" from a few different angles:

its even possible to attach the rotor pack as well since the peg on scorpys back plugs into the hole. but then you got kibble beyond kibble with that...

All the autobots feared capture and interrogation by Blackout.....

Hey, who's giving who the reach-around there?

lol scorponok's probably pretty upset that his tail's articulation isn't good enough to actually do it :P But hey, I like the figure just for its alt mode, if you can really consider it his alt mode. But I have to say the tail could've been done better, like I duno, classics grimlock that I got the other day in the mail.

But yeah that mode looks pretty cool. My friends would definitely get a few laughs out of that. It comes with spring loaded action too ! Just gotta push its button.

    • Today's feature is POWERED by the 2020 Planet X PX-14B Helios figure. This release is the third in succession of Diaclone Powered Convoy themed TFcon exclusives sponsored by The Chosen Prime. The first was the 2009 Fans Project Parallax D.I.A. Commander Armor Set, followed by the 2019 MakeToys MTCD-01D Delta Manus. Click Image to Read the Full News Story Now

    • Been a lotta work over the years for the fans. Worth it. As for Cyril's collection, it is my entire childhood and then some.
    • I know he's not going to read this most likely but you're not supposed to be able to separate the car mode easily you twit. It's only supposed to happen when you plug it onto the Menasor frame. That's like complaining about a Powermaster not being able to easily transform if you don't have the engine in it. It's the whole point. And the people who say that Hasbro is coping third party figures. Are you serious? Hasbro is just copying the cartoon designs. Designs that they own. Which is what the third party were copying. CW Menasor was trying to emulate the toys more than anything with the scramble aspect. They were also trying to make Menasor's design work more like the rest of the Scramble City style combiners. It's just that how can they be copying something that they came up with first? And that Crasher still sucks. It should've been a retool of Dragstrip instead of just a redeco of Mirage with the other Mirage's spare head. Slicks should be the redeco of Mirage if you want to do a Gobot from him due to the similar parts layouts. Dragstrip when done right will always look more like Crasher as they have similar parts layouts. Even G1 Dragstrip looks like G1 Crasher. The front goes behind the head on both but in slightly different ways. Even still, you can make that same piece look like Crasher's.
    • Sideways is a bot of many hats. Herald of Unicron, glorified movie cameo, and Master Yogi to name a few. As far as I can tell this isn't a licensed car, which is ok as it allows for more wiggle room with the design and it shows. This is one of the few car transformers I didn't struggle with getting panels lined up and pegged into place. Robot mode is squat and lanky but once you have the legs bent properly they hold Sideways up well and it's pretty posable. If you've been looking for some of the more obscure characters from the live-action movies to get a figure, Sideways is a solid purchase.
