Pretty cool, but not something I'd want for myself.

Not to mention that these repainted-re-releases are done solely through ehobby. I believe that they are limited to a set # making them a bit more collectable than the regular release. But that also depends on the charactor. Some do better than others. Can you believe it, both clear and black starscream was sold together for like $50 or something. Now they go for like over a hundred a piece! I kick myself for not buying a few sets...just like sunstorm.

i was lucky enough to snag a complete e-Hobby ghost of Starscream for $70 about a month or so ago. he was opened, and the missiles were taken off the sprues. but, the decals were never applied and EVERYTHING was included (box, inserts..etc...)

 

the only other e-Hobby issue i have is the anime correct Astrotrain, which i LOVE. i kinda wish i snagged the minibot recolours, cuz those are starting to go up in price. i'm definitely looking forward to the "desert storm" Hound, and i really want these Insecti-clones.

Oh yeah, another thing to the guy inquiring about the megaplex. These were supposed to be like covert megatron replicas that stood in for him at times. Think doombots and Dr. Doom (from the marvel comics). I think ehobby listed it as "megaplex". when i first read it i thought of "metroplex" and was like, "they're selling metroplex?" :monkey the pic linked with the ehobby ad. was of a jap. megs. so i bought one anyway b/c i never had megs when i was a kid.

O man I have to have them. :eek :eek :eek I loved the Insecticons and this coloration is just some much cooler. I'm going to go pre-order them right now, just to make sure I get them. :thumb

Just saw at ToyWiz.com that you can order these Diaclone Insecticon's individually in addition to the 3-piece set. They come loose and complete for $25...that's a pretty steep price to build an Insecticon clone army...
