MP Prime quality check

Recommended Posts

by now, alot of us have gotten our grubby little mitts on the much talked about 20th anniversary prime, and for the most part im sure it met if not far exceeded our high expectations... this is by far the finest tranformer yet produced. hands down.

i love this thing. theres not much more to be said about it that hasnt been said before, and im sure most would agree... but im wondering: how would you rank the quality of your individual prime? what flaws do you notice that may or may not exhist on someone elses prime? for example: i notice that my primes chest doesnt quite close all the way in robot form and a buddy of mine has the same problem with the feet that i have read about so many times.

i believe that these are production errors rather than design flaws.

what i wanna know is: what other kinds of "problems" are you guys seeing with your copies, and how many of us have gotten a "perfect" flawless copy.

Well.. I've got MP Convoy.. and he's pretty much flawless so long as I transform him correctly. The feet stay on so long as you do the steps in the right order (least on mine), and the chest in truck mode doesn't lock everything together exactly unless every step is lined up perfectly (and the first 2 or 3 times I TFed him i popped his head off-- whoops)... but if you do it just so.. he litterally is a masterpiece.

The opening halves of his chest don't line up perfectly, but you can line them up close enough. He's perfect in my mind. I've never had the foot problem, probably because I've never incorrectly transformed them. And I never will, so I'll never know. Oh well.

The only problem with mine is really a gripe. The left front wheel has a tendency to squeak when I roll him. Other than that, my MP Convoy is perfection.

yaa, the only thing is that not everyting matches up in truck mode, like that tab that clicks into the hands, and i did pop his head off once too. but as i first went to get him, i could see one had a scuff or scratch on his grill and another one and a small plastic piece sticking of the blue part of his gun, other than those, nothing.

Mine's foot pops off, but they all do that. Other than that, he's fine.

The reason your chest plates aren't shutting right is because you have to push the side peices (where the tires are attached) in until you hear a loud click. I had the same problem until i realized this.

my paper trailer is a load of crap, it refuses to stand up so it sits on its side and i put weapons and misc stuff in there

other than that both my primes are perfect

nothing wrong with mine. Perfection right out of the box.

mine has clicked since the first transformation, and the chest has never closed all the way in bot form. also, the headlight pieces that swivel around to the lower back region have a small gap between them, which i wouldnt have noticed if not for the "cogs" on each side.
