Some Leader Class Prime stuff

Recommended Posts

I wanted to get into scratch building but every time i tried I'd just get overwhelmed and never start, so i decided to start with something small and somewhat pointless. i noticed that in the movie Optimus had this giant metal thing on the rear of the cab, so i decided to try making that, it's made from a bunch of styrene and then just painted silver, i also made a clip that fits in between his arms to fill the gap in truck mode, again all pointless stuff, the problem with the clip was matching the blue, its a bit off but I'm too lazy to try again. then i took some rod styrene cut it at an angle and gave him new smoke stacks i know the picture quality isn't the best, but all i have is a cell phone camera.

You = my HERO! This is exactly what Leader Prime has been missing! I've thought of doing this exact same thing, but I'm not nearly skilled enough. What happens to those parts in robot mode?

How much would you want to make these 2 parts for me? I mean painted to match and ready to install, shipped to Elk Grove Village, IL, 60007? Pls reply or PM. If it's reasonable I'll take a set, you can call it the "Leader Class Optimus Prime Clean-Up Kit". Hell, you can call it Sheldon for all I care! I just want!

EDIT: can you take some more overall pics? It looks just like the little truck mode Titanium model!

those are sweet.

How did you do the smokestacks?

Pull out the ther ones?

I'm guessing the metal plate doesn't attach to the figure mode at all, just goes on in vehicle mode?

It doesn't matter to me honestly, I like the idea of the plate, I just wanted to know for knowledge sake.

Nice!!! That was bothering me too!! :thumb

ah! finally someone working on Leader Optimus!

I just started and i'm looking for advice on how to go about the long metal joints pinning together the smokestacks to the grey part of the body. My intention is that of separating the grey part from the red and blue part to work on each piece singularly as i intend to completely remove the paint and redo the paintjob from scratch without smudges and without making the model unposable due to too many layers of paint.

realism equals awsomeness!!!

good jorb!

Dude, I'm still serious- let me know how much for the cab shield and that gap-filler plate, I really want a set for mine. Let's deal!
