Though the Dai Atlas drill tank mode is really not much like the space shuttle mode. But still neat.

You know now that I think about it a few mods could turn him into a decent Dia Atlas

I'm thinking I'm the only one who thinks Jetfire looks a bit too "soft and pudgy" to be Dai Atlas.

No, he does look soft and pudgy, but:

 

1/ Im annoyed that even though I live near the event of Wonderfestival in Tokyo, where the free diatlas will be given away, I probably wont be able to get one due to takara's minimal anti-scalper policies.

 

2/ I want to see what jetfire looks like as he seems to have similar wings/legs to diatlas.

 

3/ and his face needs some remolding perhaps?

 

4/ I really like the jetfire toy. He was a bit pudgy, but he had great play value. the g1 blaster noise, the interaction with his minicon (gun, landing gear, radar and he could fit in jetty's cargo bay) and jetfire had a "third" hyper mode.

 

I just think with a nice repaint that we can ALL go out and buy in theory, then he would sell again.

O.k. Let me say, its hard to create a convincing dark gray from such a bright white. but i think it kinda works.

Thats not half bad mate, cheers. I think there could be places where the colours could be swapped, but as a way of showing the idea off, it does what it says on the tin, eh?

Aside from the fact that they're both space shuttles, I don't see it.

 

Energon Megatron is a much better fit (down to the crown) IMO but that action figure also looks a bit Seeker-ish and a bit like G2 Megatron.
