Robot Masters watch the movie and I think it shows that Brave Maximus will be in the Robot Masters line, so maybe we will get a new Fort Max in America. :clap

01.jpgfor got the pick, if you cant tell thats RM-01 Covoy and RM-03 Mirage

That would be interesting...

The Japanese says: Big Cybertron(Autobot) Base

The second image says something about customized color weapon sets.

They might just be using it for size comparison, but it would be pretty cool. If they do re-release him, I hope they do it in new colors and give him his big weapons and Cog which were missing with Brave Max.

Brave Maximus is not a mass release. Takara is apparently running a contest to win the handful(?) available.

And regardless of what Takara is doing with Brave Max, Heat Guy J, Fortress Maximus will likely NEVER be released in the US again. He failed the drop test during RID (Hasbro DID try to get the toy released), thus will not get released by Hasbro.

drop test :wtf ?

Where they drop a toy from varing heights. If a piece pops off that a kid could get cut on, choke on, etc it needs to be reworked. In some cases, there's just no saving a mold...

Not pop off. Just about every TF nowadays is designed to have pieces that pop off when dropped, to minimalize breakage and unsafe parts.

The drop test is designed to see if the toy shatters. If it leaves all sorts of small, chokeable pieces and sharp edges, the prospect of producing the toy as is is pretty much dead. Fort Max, with all sorts of large, solid pieces is quite likely to break as such in many places, so Hasbro canned those plans of releasing him.

I think pop-off is inclluded too. Thats why Armada Thrust had thos weird leg guns. Originally, he was designed with the option of removing them to put on the arms (a la G1), but if the missile came out of the launcher, the launcher could be considered dangerous as it could be small enough to pop into a (retarded?) kids mouth and cause them to choke.

Hasbro then mafde it unremovable.

Personally, I say screw the retarded kids. survival of the brightest. thats my opinion. If the tards choke, then thats les for us to pay in taxes on welfare.

No, im just joking...gomen.

perhaps if they went with a different type of plastic, one that wasn't as rigid. There are abs plastics out there that can withstand that kind of impact.

All the same, if they can build a unicron that can pass the test, then they should also be able to buils a fort max and metroplex that can too.

I don't think it works that way. Unicron works because he's articulated - which, as a side effect means that he's made up of a lot more, smaller pieces. And many of his more prone parts are either made of flexible plastic, or are designed to pop off.

Fort Max/Metroplex for one were not designed to have breakaway parts (which would be expensive to retool good, solid breakaway joints for larger figures like those), and I believe that because of their composition (many more large, solid pieces, instead of smaller, more break resistant ones), softer plastics wouldn't work because they bow and warp. They wouldn't hold such large shapes very well.
