Better the second time around.

My wife and I went to the movie yesterday. We left our son at home because we wanted to preview it before we let him see it. While we both enjoyed the movie yesterday, I felt a bit unsure of the movie after leaving the theater and thought it could have been much better. I'm not really sure why I was disappointed. I think part of this reaction was because I've been anticipating this movie ever since it was announced. I've been a Transformers fan since the mid-80's and a live action movie is something I've always wanted. Today we went back so our son could see the movie. This time I didn't feel like the movie left something to be desired after leaving the theater. In fact after leaving the theater today I felt like I wanted to go back again and see it a third time.

Has anyone else seen this movie more than once so far? If so, did you like it more the second time around like I did?

I agree. While I loved it the first time, I had a difficult time trying not to worry that there was going to be something that would make it completely suck. There wasn't, but it felt like it all flew by really quick and that I needed more.

The second time was an absolute thrill. Absolutely awesome. Still need more though :lol

I usually enjoy movies better after i see them a second time.

When I watched the movie the second time, I was afraid for a while that I was going to like it less. But I noticed so many more things that I hadn't caught the first time, and that made it a really rewarding experience. And then the ending totally PWNED me again. Mostly what stood out to me the second time was character moments with the Autobots, such as Jazz' concern over Bumblebee.

Oh and Barricade is still awesome the second time around.

I think the movie is going to do well on DVD, it's definitely a movie that benefits from repeat viewings.

Any info on when it will arrive on DVD? I know 13 december 2007 the DVD is scheduled to be released in the Netherlands, but that's all I know.

The executive producer of TF:Animated said that the DVD is going to be released around the same time that the cartoon airs, and that's early 2008. But I would imagine that they'd HAVE to get this thing on DVD before Christmas. I mean, come on.

I agree that they will (or at least should) try to get this movie out on DVD before or around Christmas. After all, that's one of the biggest if not the biggest time of the year for selling stuff.

Lol! I hate having to agree with you so much. Jazz' concern for BBee was major for me and it

upset me that they Killed him off. I wanted to see that fleshed out.

The concern made them feel like more than warriors and more like a family. Like I said before, Like BBee was his brother. Man. Most of the Autobot interaction was between Optimus and the support cast. The support cast never really interacts with each other.

I disagree with that last sentiment. Although not all dialogue, Ratchet and Ironhide have a great deal of interaction. Especially during the whole debacle with Sam trying to find the glasses in his room: Ratchet getting hit by electric wire, Ironhide wanting to shoot them and being stopped by Ratchet, Ratchet shining light and Ironhide stopping him...And those are but a few instances. I really like it when character relations aren't 'in-your-face', but just happen when other things are going on.
