Takara MP Prime Limited Edition

Recommended Posts

Sorry but I think that store owner is full of crap, and if there is a black one, then he painted it or did like "Tin Tin Happy" and made it himself in Takara's off-hours.

Why would Takara want to keep it a secret? We all know that a Masterpiece Scourge would sell well.

sorry about the poor wording. By "bad" I wasn't trying to refer to the digipaints themselves but the fact that this person was apparently trying to pass them off to mark as a legitimate custom paint job.

As far as a black MP Prime, that would probably be the easiest custom to do in a way that it would look authentic. Black RIT dye, paint thinner, some Testors Model Master black spraypaint, and a screwdriver is all you really need.

I am skeptical to all of this, if you got pics lets see them and any other proof first. :redface

Tall tales?... Maybe no. This is not the first we have heard about these things. We have seen the clear G1 prime and other figs that were supposedly made as gifts and sales incentives. Its not all that far out that there would be some special MP-1 versions out there considering how proud they must be of that toy.

they might be able to use more diecast parts on MP Convoy, but not all diecast. Some of the parts wouldn't work well at all in diecast.

Personally, if Takara released the MP Convoy with that much extra diecast, then it would be obvious that it wasn't a regular MP Convoy since Takara would have to charge the retailer twice as much as a regular version and that cost would be passed on to the consumer. I doubt a retailer would make the mistake of undercharging that much for a toy when the retail price of the standard version is less than what Takara charged the retailer for the supposed limited edition.

Got no proof? Then you got you creditability, just blowing smoke in the air.
